Intel HD Graphics Card Optimization

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 4:37 am

Hello,

I would just like to know, if anyone has some idea, if the game will be optimized for Intel Graphics cards on Laptops. Also, around how much time do we have to wait for this.

Thanks!

It will never be. General optimisations may happen but a game like this will never be tailored for Intel GPUs. True, the latest batch of Intel Iris GPUs aren't as awful as the oldschool Intel GPUs but they're still not high-end gaming devices. Consider, especially, that there are only a handful of Intel GPUs that match or exceed the min. requirement. There's a reason that this game (and the vast majority of new games) list requirements in terms of AMD/ATI and Nvidia GPUs. (Well, that and that all the major consoles use AMD/ATI and most PC gamers use NVidia.)

well actually game will work on intel HD. intel works on fixing some bugs so there is a hope. i tried to run it on my HD 530 build it i5-6600k. IF game started (like 2 times per 10) it was quite smooth on 720p on low.

see known issues. https://downloadmirror.intel.com/25541/eng/ReleaseNotes_GFX_15%2040%204326_Final.pdf

It definitely works on some but it's neither designed to work on them nor will it provide a particularly good experience. Ultimately the small Intel market share and poor nature of their GPUs (a small fraction of which is actually capable of playing this game in any tolerable way) doesn't make them viable for support with a big game like this. gamesas would simply be wasting resources trying to specifically target performance on Intel GPUs.
