Intensity in Ten Cities

I just watched some of the new Battlefield 3 propaganda and I must say the game looks awesome. Not that C2 isn't awesome, but it's plagued not polished, and BF3 has a lot going for it in that its predecessors have been quite impressive.

Is there anyone here not thinking of playing BF3? If so, I'd like to hear why. Will you stay with Crysis 2?

Remember that the BF3 stuff is taken from computer gameplay, so commenting on what you've seen really has no place on the X-Box 360 forums. I'm sure it does look great on a massively upgraded CPU, but consoles aren't going to run the graphics that well.

BF3 has nothing going for it in that it isn't on the market yet. You really can't compare games in the pipeline to games in production like this. Besides, no games ever meet the expectations of the most eager fans.

I'll tell you one reason I dont like the direction games like that are going (brink included). They have too much going on. By making all the players take on different team roles you force people to work on a team, and that gives a big advantage to partys and clans. FACT: Clans are video game nerds that get laid overall less than the average population. I like to play games on my own time when I get the time. I also like the freedom to lonewolf it, and Crysis has proved to have the best Instant action free for all yet. Now don't get me wrong, using classes is a way to provide a unique experience, and not the same old shoot-kill-reload that has been ging on for a decade now. But the shoot-kill-reload is what most people fell in love with to start with.

I've been recently playing Halo & GOW 3. Both of those seem to take more than 1 whole clip to kill an opponent, so you have to team up or use your clip & then pummel your target. Only in Crysis are you going to get a Psycho kill by grenading 2-3 and then shooting 2-3 that are all focused on each other. Gotta love that.

I will be getting BF3 just as I have bought every single BF since day 1 of BF1942 except for BF Modern Combat which svcked. I also will hold on to my Crysis 2 because I love Crytek's games and have bought all of them on day 1 as well. Why does it always have to be 1 or the other? I like them both.

Quick answer; Yes I'll still be playing C2 when BF3 comes out.

But then I'll also be playing another 20 odd games as well, because I like to chop and change...

Why BF3, simple, I loved BF2, played it for almost 2 years solid. Now my question is will BF3 be as good as BF2, will it have the commander mode, will the 360 version be as good as the PC version.

I know it'll be 64pl for PC and only 24pl I think for the 360, but will the maps be the same size, will the 360 suffer lag, will I purchase it only to wish I hadn't.

Will they screw up the game modes or will it just be the traditional capture the flag, dominate the battlefield, will it still be 6 man squads or will they change it to 4 man squads, will it be WORTH the WAIT, lol.

I sure hope it is because I'm a little feed up with some of the mp crap that games in general are spoon-feeding us these days.
