Interesting geography

Hey all,

Was wondering if there is any interesting locations on the overworld in Daggerfall that you know of - natural formations, interesting city layouts, dungeons that just look weird.

I'd love to find some canyons. :)

Eh, a while back I had http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=758600&hl= about the fabled Gorge of Lysandus, which is supposed to be a great ravine somewhere near his tomb in Minevia, but I never found it and neither had anyone else.

Other than that, the exteriors of some dungeons can be interesting; the giant tree stump ones, and the various ruined forts; some of the forts are quite large on the outside.

The...ocean. It's incredibly hideous and an immense letdown, but still worth checking out.

I like Direnni Tower and Nulfaga's dungeon exteriors. I tried climbing all the way to the top of Direnni tower once, only to be disappointed by entering at the bottom.

Once there was Andel Crodo's TES Essential Site. There used to be many interesting screenshots of rare to see locations. But unfortunately that site is long gone.

i remember the gorge, or rather, the mapping error that made a line of vertices drop far below the landscape. it's not that interesting since it's just a straight line, and is a mapping error like all of the corners of lakes you come across in the wilderness.

the wilderness could've been much more dynamic, as can be seen in redguard, i believe it was mentioned that the team hadn't the resources and the requirements would've been too high, so they just went with generic landscape instead, trying to focus more on the towns and cities, which even then they couldn't detail it like they wanted.

They didn't even make the trees and other sprites in town SOLID. :(
