An Interesting Idea...

Post » Fri Jul 01, 2011 12:10 am

Well, one day, I actually had an idea of a random encounter where you see Vivec (of Morrowind) killing the last of a horde of creatures.
I also imagined that, in the same encounter, Vivec would mistake you for The Neverarine (correcting himself) and asks you for certain information involving the Nordic Civil War, or whatever.
Have you ever had similar or even more insane ideas?

Didn't Vivec die? I mean in canon... not just because you can kill him in Morrowind.

(flips through his Elder Scrolls notebook to find this interesting bit of info)

Then I'll actually see him doing some sort of kung-fu barrage on incoming dremora before getting killed (killing 3-4 thousand or more)

vivec was a mortal over 200 years before skyrim, remember? there's no freaking way he'd live that long.
The Nerevarine is a different story, but then again you play as the nerevarine, so that's nor going to happen ever in skyrim

well i think he was a mortal ELF over 200 years before skyrim
so thats not that long for them i dont think

but to the OP
it was never said he was freed from the deadra, or that they didnt kill him
so i doubt he will make an appearance or even be mentioned
pretty sure that was beths way of getting rid of him

Why is everyone saying that he's taken by the Daedra? Exact words:

"I've heard nothing good. In Morrowind, they say the man-god Vivec has gone missing. Some believe he has been taken by the daedra."

How is that a definite answer? It's a rumor, citizens of Cyrodiil aren't infallible.

As for his age... he became a mortal shortly after the end of Morrowind (though we never got to see him like that, as much as I wanted to). Dunmer on average live, what 150 - 200 years? So he's probably dead. But come on, he's freaking Vivec! Some Dunmer wizards live thousands of years.

I don't know, I just want to see old man Vivec in Skyrim. Would be epic.

As much as I would like to see him again (bring back a little nostalgia as much as i hate that word) I don't think so. Too many player's choices come into conflict with him. Better to leave him into the annals of history and our own warped intentions

Vivec achieved CHIM. He's probably still alive and kicking, and also utterly disinterested in this whole Alduin thing. It's boring stuff. Hell be having his fun elsewhere.

well I think he had lived out the majority of his life before gaining immortality, and after he lost it, he wouldn't have had much life left, and probably didn't research longesvity because his plan was to sustain the heart to keep himself immortal
