Interesting read about Bugs

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 9:09 pm

Sorry if this has been posted prior: A positive article about bugs, glitches, the game, and Bethesda in general. Although I would like to see some "polish" and frequent patches, this writer focuses on the experience as a whole and basically how the good out weighs the bad. I for one am enjoying the game, and I am taking my time until the wrinkles are ironed out.

Thanks for that, really interesting article. I'm enjoying it as well, although I can understand why people are getting frustrated with the bugs they're encountering, especially if they're losing hours of progress because of them. I guess I've just been lucky to have no major issues so far, besides the usual minor glitches.

I think players should just take time and smell the flowers so to speak. In this case, it is building up Sanctuary until the patches roll out.

The problem for me is Sanctuary being bugged. Whenever I leave, my water goes to zero and my happiness plummets...

Just began, so I am not involved enough where I have run into issues. I am considering this point to be my "Safe Save" until problems are solved.

Yep, I've completely skipped "town building" past the initial beds, food and two turrets. Too much mess and frustration right now.

It's a good point that small teams are more flexible and often work better together. Long term employees add to that stability, but there's also a few risks involved. People burn out, or get too settled and lose creativity when they work on the same stuff for a long time. Pair that with the lack of influx of new blood and ideas and experience from other projects and companies, and you get pretty much what we have here: A carbon copy of what used to be a great game, with a few tweaks, many of which are made by modders for previous Beth games and implemented by Beth in their latest installment.

I guess I was being naive when I thought fallout 4 would not suffer from the same bugs as its predecessor fallout 3. I had a raider who leaned through a solid closed door & started shooting at me which ruined the game play. Another time I killed a raider who then fell to the ground, head butted a car on the down & that car went flying through the air eventually landing in the far distance. Comical but conversely annoying also. Hoping updates will address these issues or not.
