An interesting theory, gaming style defined by console?

So I've played a lot of games, but I prefer games on the pc and they tend to range from shooters to rpg to strategy. So I wanted to pose this idea. People seem to like brink better on PC, but also from what I've seen, have a different approach to it. Maybe its all the strategy titles on PC, but it almost seems as if the lesser number of highly popular shooters on PC attracts a different crowd or engenders a different mindset. I might be nuts here, but I spent time talking with people on the forum through teamspeak and we divvied ourselves into groups before launch, chose tactics, and started working with them right as the game unlocked. Is it this way on the xbox? I am not trying to create a war here, but merely commenting on how the number of shooters on xbox may cause an inherent bias on playing style. Its just a theory, but it might explain why PC gamers seem to dig Brink.

Please leave flame throwers at the door and bring some constructive commentary.

in general the PC gaming community is more mature. ive played counter strike source, battlefield 2, team fortress 2 etc. and compared to watching my friends play games like black ops on their consoles the community is much better on the PC end. there was one exception to this though and it was left 4 dead 2. there were so many rage quitters and annoying kids that it made multiplayer with anyone other than people you already know impossible. im actually more of a lone wolf myself because i absolutely hate using voice chat so im at a disadvantage on games the rely heavily on teamwork. most of my gaming tends to be singleplayer now anyways.

same, but I loved TF2. I feel that, given time, Brink will become its spiritual successor. All we really need are more maps, challenges, and a death match mode. That would make the game a great deal better, but I really like the coop feel.
