Interiors dissapearing during in-game tests

Post » Sat Aug 07, 2010 5:23 pm

Whenever I make an interior area say as with the My First Vault tutorial I get it all perfect save it and go in-game, teleport there but when I go inside I find that sometimes some parts of the vault are missing or even the entire vault apart from a gear door and to top it all off when I go back into the GECK I find that all of the in-game missing objects are now missing on the GECK.

Not sure if it's something i'm doing or some sort of bug.

Its the Room Bounds from the original cell. If you select "View" and then the "Show/Hide" panel, you can Check the "Portals and Room Bounds" button, which will show you the room bounds. You can delete them, and create new ones when your ready to optimize. :)

Yea thats definitly what it is. I recommend you create cells from scratch, as it is stupid that the tutorial tells you to copy one. Also you must make sure to delete EVERYTHING from a cell if you do copy it, or you run into issues like this.

You will also have to delete the old nav meshes.

Its best to make a new cell, >World >Cells...

Right-click in the cell list and select 'New', give it a name and your done.
