They are meant to be a minor annoyance, easy to kill and only giving one experience point.
but they are so damn cute and need to be in this game so much, this is one addition I've severely missed from FO1 and FO2 that was somehow excluded from FO3. :twirl:

Sorry for posting so quicly agan but I just wanted to also respond to WackaMacka,

I've dissected the chemistry set turning it into a dozen separate little peaces you can shoot take home. It's a rare occasion when you can get a good mesher to step up and offer there services, I'm trying to learn how to create custom meshes because of this issue myself.

hey Cev, nice to see you working hard at this. :D

i can offer you my http://picasaweb.google.com/Falcon8204/ShopTools# if you would like them. they have more of an industrial feel, so i'm not sure if it will fit the styles of the areas you are working on. unfortunately the meshes don't have UVs or textures. i can do the UV maps, but you're going to have to find someone to make the textures.

E:
also see the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11816 i made for Miss Sparkle. you're welcome to use them as well.

cheers

Allow me to disagree- in this case this mod will be not needed at all. No sense to open barricaded doors to reveal empty places.
I am not against a sense of proportion, but from both sides :)

Well agreed, it wouldn't be much of a game if everything were to be done realistically. But there does need to be a some sort of balance, and I find some of Cev's areas tend to be a little over the top. The Nuca Cola shop is a good example, there's toys and clutter all over the place. I'm a pack rat when I play the game, and it doesn't take me long when I'm there before I become overloaded and need to go back to visit Moire to unload all the stuff I pick up.

Falcon,

Thanks, I'm going to try to put some textures onto your tools. This is something I've wanted to learn how to do, I can alter existing textures but, I want to figure out how to wrap my own. If I can pull it off I will pass them off to you to include with your meshes.

Belanos,

I see the problem, your from Canada, your simply not used to dirty, filthy cluttered cities. No, seriously just kidding but, The Nuka Cola shop was meant to be over the top. Nuka Cola is a reoccurring theme throughout the game and, It screamed excess.

Don't touch toys! :swear: :)

delamer,

Too funny, don't worry the toys aren't going anywhere.

I know this will sound terribly mean to some of you folks. But I think it is still a valid point. Whenever someone makes a mod and people complain regarding personal problems that do not affect the general majority of us players it seems rather out of place to ask for a fix because of said personal problem. Example: "I'm nuts. Can you change your mod to better suit my psychosis?" Yes....not very nice and I'm not sniping at people with mental problems. But also keep in mind how many thousands of people play the game without those problems....Harsh perhaps, but being bluntly honest. Its not up to any modder to make such changes. Asking won't hurt mind yall. Just thinking some folks seem to be getting a little pushy in this thread.

----------------

Shop tools....interesting. Haven't looked yet, but would be keen to see some stuff that could give the impression people actually know how to use things to make something after the bombs fell =)

Agreed, also people seem too hung up on realism. Forgetting the fact that there are asixual super mutants, a guy with a tree growing out of his head and death dealing mutated iguana's (death claws) not to mention you can also disarm an atomic bomb with only minimal knowledge of explosives. Things that are much more unrealistic. But enough about that stuff. :D

Guys,

First I'll start off by saying, I do appreciate the support but, it's really unnecessary. I'm fully capible of defending my work, I'm only saying this because this is starting to remind me of something that once happened over on the Nexus treads. Users came to my defense, people got offended, (not me! ) the moderator stepped in and went on a banning spree.

I'm not saying don't voice your opinions, I want all forms of input. Just please keep things civil, I don't want to see things go south here. :swear:

I don't mind criticism, If I agree with it I'll make a change. I've already answered this one, Yes some cells have to many tin cans, bottles coffee mugs, whatever, I disagreed with the comment about the "Nuka Cola Shop" That is one of my all time favorite cells. It was my first ever "Glass Windows" cell and, I've updated it and, added more and more unique clutter several times now. It's a little frightening to learn that there are people out there that have worse cases of "OCD" than me. I'm not going to go back to kill all of the clutter or, cut down to a point of having naked cells. I would get board and, quit.

I build my cells from the ground up, First I come up with the concept, purpose, then I lay it out to fit the exterior as best as I can. Next, I furnish and clutter it. Finally, I do the encounters, if any. Every one of my cells is unique, I love trying to hide little surprises amongst the trash for all of you to find. To much less clutter means less places to hide goodies.

I don't give a "Rats A**" about realism, If I wanted realism I do have a life outside of gaming to deal with. :banghead: This is an escape, some time away from work, family, the reality of life.

As I've already said, I do appreciate the support, suggestions, critiques and, feedback but, the honest to god fact is that I'm still working on this because I'm doing it for myself. It's truelly nice that so many others love it and, is quite inspiring to get such a huge response from the community. In the end It's my mod I'll do as I see fit, If I wanted to place 1000 soda bottles in a cell I will. Yes, an over dramatization but, it's the truth, I'll do what I want and, if someone doesn't like it they don't have to use my mod. (Not to sound Rude.)

hey cev,

i'm making some optimizations on the models. just trying to reduce the polycount here and there. the miter saw & lathe need a bit of work still, but the others are done. i'll hopefully have them finished in the next day or two.

i've also made a soldering iron and a bench power supply, if you're http://picasaweb.google.com/Falcon8204/ShopTools#5513307727472591058.

Curious...any plant life in the works? Like crop based. Cabbage heads,Corn, radish tops(as that is all that is seen), etc. Not requesting it, just curious.

I have had a few conversations with Coleen the author of http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6338 about doing a DCinteriors add-on but that would be the closest thing.

Something I've been wondering...

I keep stumbling upon power stations all throughout the wastes. I stumble upon tons of places that still have power after 200 years of post-atomic horror. So either I've failed to find the actual power plant/power plants, or it's not in. I don't know if you're interested in making one, but you certainly seem to have the chops for it. I just keep wandering the wastes, looking for that radiation-leaking power plant, in hopes of either just seeing it, or maybe even installing a Hydro-electric Magnetosphere Regulator. (It's a thingie.)

There is actually a power plant near http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/MDPL-13_Power_Station, but it's a boring one. There aren't any quests associated with it, so rebuilding it as a nuclear power plant filled with glowing ones is perfectly ok. :)
Maybe add some sentient ghouls too? Maybe chinese remnants, or raider ghouls (there aren't any in vanilla for some reason).

I'm sorry to say, I think I'm still five cells out on my release of DCInteriors_Wasteland Edition. Every time I think I'm getting close to my release, my OCD "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder", kicks in. Tonight, I finished the "A Cuppa Joe" in Northwest Senica but, then I ended up spending the rest of my evening dic*king around in blender, trying to build custom display cases for the pawn shop I want to build.

I'm getting close to pulling them off, I combined the restroom mirrors with the Vauld glass, scaled, transformed them into something workable. Now, I'm having a little head bang issue! :banghead: What do I fill these display cases with?

Does anyone know of a nice jewelry, necklace mod, I could hit up to use as an asset?

Check for Oblivion resources. Jewelry was extremely popular in Oblivion.

Alystin,

Thanks for the link, I got the same link form delamer over on the Nexus. I've got a PM out to Kikais to see if I can use her meshes. In Her description it does say she gives free usage but, I just want to make sure.

I don't really see this in the near future, DCInteriors is about unique interior locations to explore. Unless I built a ranch inside of a building, I don't see it happening.

A Veal ranch, Brahman in cages?

Possibly, a slaughter house. :celebration:

Speaking of unique interior locations, what about some Brotherhood observation bunkers, like we had in the old games? Particularly in The Den, and San Fransisco. I'm not looking for a stockpile of equipment like the San Fran bunker had, or even an AI doctor that could do cybernetic surgery, mind you (no matter how cool that was), but rather just the example that even when the brotherhood's resources are stretched thin, they at least try to keep an eye on major settlements when they can.

The problem with this is that there aren't any major settlements in the DC area IMO, and I don't think CevSteel sees it as part of his mission since they would require new buildings. The BoS don't just settle down in any old basemant. :)

Regardless, it's a pretty cool idea. I don't know how Cev feels about using DLC content, but there's a number of pretty nice military style meshes in anchorage, like the pillbox and sandbag forts (that can have vanilla texture re-applied).
