Uhh ... have you seen the GNR building?

They are camped out there and that place is a pigsty.

Seriously - guys in power armor and they can't lift a few pieces of rubble or make a place to sit down?

Don't tell me there are there for the free advertisemant - that DJ is more concerned with some snot nosed punk who rolled out of a vault than waking the denizens of the wasteland up to the lies of the enclave or even much about promoting the BoS in any arena.

They're only there to help Three Dog out though, it's not an official base. They're just providing protection for the radio station, not using it as a base of operations. Ultimately it's Three Dog's place, so unless he asks them to help clean it up they're not obligated to do anything with it.

I could see them having a setup where you go into this crappy little building, the observer is there in his run-down little 'dwelling'...but if you look closely, under a piece of sheet metal or an old rug, there's the corner of a trap door. Inside is a basemant that's been converted into a BoS observation bunker. (I don't see them having the ones like the have on the west coast. Haven't been on the east coast long enough.)

A real surprise to stumble upon. Of course, if the BoS isn't already pretty friendly with you, you may get shot by the observer for trying to get in.

I do like the Idea of the Brotherhood outpost, I'm not really sure where it would work though. Possibly in Dupont Circle, could have some scribes and, guards observing the raiders. I could see a shop with a scavenger who turns out to be the cover for the Brotherhood outpost, don't know just kicking thoughts around.

I'm not against using the assets from the DLC's, my big fear is that I could possibly eliminate users who don't have them. I've always avoided imbedding there assets into DCInteriors because of that fact. To be honest, I would love to be able to freely use some things from the DLC's, I made the collectables add-on to play around with them.

Oh, just had an idea that is really dark and, possibly not so, Politicly correct.

A building where the American Army, Government, would send suspected "Red Chinese" spies or, citizens, to be executed and, disposed of! They could have also ben sending Beatniks, Canadians, (The US has already anexed Canada, after all. :violin: ) Anti-War protesters and other un-patiriotic, Un-American, individuals to meat there fate.

I would need to find or, add a large building near a rail line to have cattle cars outside and, execution chambers, holding cells, interrogation rooms and, Torture cells inside of.

To show my total geek side and, to quote Battlestar Galactica, "This has all happened before and, will happen again." :drool:

This would end up being a Slaughter house but, a Slaughter house of the worst kind. :P

Thoughts? Would it be going to far?

IMO if you were to do something like that, I would make it a completely seperate mod from DC Interiors. Reason being is that I can see how it might put some people off of this mod entirely based on just that one thing.
That's just my two cents worth, (probably more than it's actually worth). It's your mod, you do with it how you see fit, I'm just giving you my opinion.

BTW: I would still DL this mod even with this idea incorporated, but others may not feel the same way.

Considering that the Enclave would gleefully do it, and as an organization, pre-dates the bombs, I see no 'too far' with what you're suggesting. Of course, back then, the Enclave couldn't be out in the open, so you wouldn't see the Enclave flag anywhere, but I could certainly picture holotapes and terminals with messages like this...

Maybe this is unnecessary, but I've seen this mistake before: remember that it was 200 years ago, so, no blood ok? ;) (not fresh anyway)

I completely agree with you on this, It would be more of the remnants of a detention center. Lots of skeletons, some notes, terminal logs, referring to some sort of atrocity.

I don't think the Enclave was quite to a "Final Solution" point until they went nuclear.


In my minde this should be more about the pre-war Government than the Enclave, somewhat of a history lesson. If your familiar with FO1 or, FO2, you'll remember the opening movie where it showed power armored (US) soldiers executing Canadians openly in the streets, I don't think it was a willing annexation.

The Enclave may be aware of these events and, it might have helped to influence there point of view but, I don't think it is, directly there actions I would be referring to.

Not at all, I did say add a building in my post. I was thinking I may stumble across a suitable location that already exists but, I'm fairly sure there wouldn't be anything I would want to use outside of the Pitt.


I do hope that everyone knows I'm just brainstorming here, I like to get your thoughts and, opinions on my random ideas. I don't know if I'll even attempt this one but, it could be a fun dark, idea possibly a building filled with Feral Ghouls or, the US Army Ghoul faction I've ben kicking around.

Thanks for the link, I need the bowling balls and pins. I'm playing around with a bowling ally in Dupont Circle, one of the reasons I put it on hold was because I didn't have anything to clutter it with.

I didn't think you were being pushy, I only brought up the Pitt because, it is the only place I can think of that has a rail yard and, buildings, that could be turned into this idea.

I know most people, at this point are using all of the DLC's but, I'm still uncomfortable with the idea of using them. Also I don't want to have to make a DLC compatible version alongside a vanilla version. I feel my skill-set has grown enough that I don't need to use the DLC's unless it's a specific usage, like the Collectables add-on.

Most of the items in my "Chucks Havok friendly Nif's" modders resource had already come straight out of my mod. The new ones, well I'm adding them as I see fit or, by necessity. Not that I wouldn't have allowed others to use my assets but, I've started to release my nif's because were on the cusp of a shiny new toy, "Fallout New Vagus". Weather I totally jump ship or, not is still to be seen.

I've created a few new, custom electric traps but, I still haven't pulled them off to the extent we were talking about.

Most of my efforts over the last few months have ben to learn new skills so, when FNV is released, I'll be able to create some cool SH**, out of the box. :drool:

Speaking of unique interior locations, what about some Brotherhood observation bunkers, like we had in the old games? Particularly in The Den, and San Fransisco. I'm not looking for a stockpile of equipment like the San Fran bunker had, or even an AI doctor that could do cybernetic surgery, mind you (no matter how cool that was), but rather just the example that even when the brotherhood's resources are stretched thin, they at least try to keep an eye on major settlements when they can.


One I would like to see is after the Brotherhood storms Ft. Bannister and drives out Talon Company during Broken Steel they clean it up a bit and set up shop and use the place as a base.

Just copy the Turtledove Detention Facility from Point Lookout, it's basically a Concentration Camp. Personally, if the Feds actually were going to build a Death Camp I doubt it would be anywhere near Washington.....they'd put it out in the desert somewhere.

The screenshots area shows a carrot. It made me think of my other idea for your mod of adding a vegetable garden. Mutfruit ! I mean how could I forget lol XD

That and of course the carrot and any other veggies in game. Not certain what are already in the game and what are modded. I found a "Throwable Carrot" on the nexus if the carrot isn't already in the game. Think I'll go hunting for more and edit this if I come across any others. Maybe make a train station with sunlight coming in from the broken ceiling or something...I dunno. I just wanted to help give idea's. I haven't seen anything at all that is like a garden. Could have the plants half out of the ground when modding. So they look like they are growing ^_^

I used the cheese in Seward Sq. I keep forgetting to use it more though.

the Carrots and fresh veggies are vanilla assets, Dr. Lee is experimenting on how to make fresh food before dad talked her into going back to Project Purity.

Half into the ground is problematic though, they might jump up or fly around when you get there due to havok thinking there's been a collision. Better to use the models to make an activator that isn't havok'd.
