Well I spoke with my mother and she was nice enough to spot me the cash for the remainder of this month. But its still shaky as to when I'll be off for several months.

So now I can bother more people with my ideas....for a little while longer lol =)

I'm not sure where you live but, here in the states all you have to do is get yourself a library card and you'll have free access to the internet. Just go to your local branch and download, bother more people, whatever you want.

yes you'll have to leave your house but you can stay in touch.

Oh! I also forgot to mention. I'm really close to an update, It should come out within the next week or, so. I had hoped to have it out by today but, it's not going to happen. All the little things have ben slowing me down, the details are important, to me. I also decided to add one last Glass Window, type cell to Takoma. They always take a lot longer than the standard interior cells because the ones in Takoma all have three floors and, none of them are on the grid.

I've fully updated all existing districts, adding new textures created for Takoma Park. Fixed many minor bugs and, populated my world with skeletons, which were missing.

I still need to finalize a few cells and, work out some forms lists for several containers and, test with a follower, to insure they actually follow.

This is a wonderful mod. Not only does it address one of my pet peeves about the vanilla game, but it does it just brilliantly. In a way, much of the additions are like pearls before swine in my case as I seldom enter added homes etc. I'm just happy that they are there. But every time I've checked out an addition I'm very impressed by the cluttering, lighting etc - for example in the Vault-Tec Registration Center in Seward Square I just visited.

When finished with this you should reclutter and relight the entire vanilla game. ;)

Looking forward to the update!

I'm so close to an update.

I spent last night finishing my leveled lists and updating all existing districts.

As I write this, I'm working on the last cell now and, I still have to do a little follower testing, once that is finished. I know, I wanted to finish by last Sunday but, I didn't expect to have to work overtime last week. (Good for my, bank account yet, bad for my modding. )

My new tentative release date should be friday, Sunday at the latest. The cell I'm working on now is a little complicated. Probably, one of my most complex worldspace interiors, to date. If I can pull it off the way I invision it, it will be way cool!

Thanks for all of your support and, patience.

What was that deally about some building having 20 floors and you wanting to make it outwardly visible etc?

And are you adding my broken glass idea? Just curious more than being pushy. =)

Your not being pushy, There is a very large apartment type building in the center of takom park. I was just going to do a few floors but, I've decided to make it, its own update. I see it as a large vertical dungeon crawl.

It will be a part of a future update of takoma. The doors are in place but are inaccessible at the moment.

Little update on my progress, I'm finishing up the encounters and need to rework my readme's so, I should be releasing ether later today/tonight or, sometime tomorrow.

Back to work,

Yes!!! That is the spirit. Many of these large buildings dot the wasteland and would make great dungeon crawls.

Some random thoughts:

Possible to add parking garages below.
Forts with small packets of scavangers inside.
Rooftops

thanks for your continued effort on this.

While taking a break form testing I uploaded the new screens of the Takoma Park update. I'm figuring I'll have the file up tomarrow. I've ran into a few minor follower bugs and other issues but, nothing major yet.

I've also uploaded a screen of what will become Takoma tower, for those of you who are interested.

I downloaded this mod some time ago, but last night was actually the first time I made it to a district and could see any of it first hand. It was Seward Sq. and it was, amazing! Like someone here already said, if I had not known, I would of never guessed it was not part of the original game. So many places, all so well done. I laughed hard when I found a video store and it even had an xxx section in the back. None of the tapes worked though.

Great mod, definitely one of the best! I hope you won't get tired, bored and stop until all districts are done. Thank you for doing this and for sharing it with us all.

Wonderful idea, great execution - Good job!

I would like to repeat this suggestion:
Does this mod also connect some of the buildings together to make easy short-cuts around the DC rubble? I hate having to go through metro dungeons to get where I am going and I don't have all areas fast-travel ready when I am on a new character. If this mod doesn't do that, does anyone know of one that does? I looked on the Nexus and couldn't find what I wanted with several different search words.

Some of these interiors may be connected to each other, giving you an alternative route through Downtown, maybe try to hide the doors a little so it isn't too obvious.

Hmmm, what about having like a maze leading through the ruined buildings, tight corridors and low passages, suddenly opening up to an exterior or a larger room before going back into the rubble? Ending in you coming out where you least expected you would :P
For this it would be cool to add some "maps" or "directions" lying around or being sold by NPCs/possible to steal or murder. Detailing the quickest way through the maze. Of course this would only apply to people not using fast travel... But you could always add some surprises in there, making it worth the trip. There would be no larger enemies in this maze, roaches, rats, maybe some ghouls and secret Talon outposts or stashes. Unusually irradiated rooms that hides tasty loot, or a couple of angry glowing ones looking to eat your heart...

This is an entirely different direction than what you are doing, but I'm just thinking out loud here, maybe someone else likes the idea :)

Anyhow, again, great mod, keep up the good work!

Well I'm backing up the entire mod and have a few min to kill so, I'll say I think I have all assets packed up properly but, as always if you see any bad textures, Missing mesh markers please let me know. I'll fix them as soon as I get the report.

There is one minor bug in Takoma Park, for some odd reason I can't get followers to enter the Civil Defense Office. If you wait they appear, I've reworked the navemesh several times but, have yet to fix this. With some luck it will be taken care of in a future update.

I'm uploading the newest version of DCInteriors as I type this, Ran into one last bug last night, sorry for the delay.

trying this again, once I started to upload I realized I forgot to include the new readme's

Also, I think I have everything packed up correctly but, as always I'm only human! :celebration: My releas last night was killed by three missing meshes that would have totally broke the mod. So, if you see any bugs pleas let me know and as always I will fix them as soon as I can.

Thanks.

It does make some sweeping changes to all existing districts also! So, you don't only have to look for the update in Takoma Park.

Just visited Takoma Park.
I had heard that people used to think that radioactivity had some rejuvenating properties, but I had no idea that they go that far.

So, I'm finally starting to get my head around Blender and, Nifscope, I just created a bunch of new collectables and, I was wondering if there were any objects you guys might want to be able to take home.

For the longest time I wanted to have a Havok friendly Nuka Lamp, Now I do!

Let me know if there is something you think would make a neat collectable and I'll see what I can do.

Well... Personally, I think we need bowling balls and bowling pins. Hello! There are ads for 'Bowling Night' all over the game, but no bowling alleys??

I know those probably aren't quite what you meant, but it's something I'd like to see, at least! Dark Matter Bowling Alley, anyone?
