Well... Personally, I think we need bowling balls and bowling pins. Hello! There are ads for 'Bowling Night' all over the game, but no bowling alleys??

I know those probably aren't quite what you meant, but it's something I'd like to see, at least! Dark Matter Bowling Alley, anyone?

There is going to be a bowling alley in Dupont Circle, I had already planned on doing some bowling balls, I'll see if there is something I can turn into pins.

Huzzah! I finally get to go bowling!

I have one other not so humble request - dart boards, perhaps? We've got a dart gun after all.

And I'm quite looking forward to the Nuka-Lamp! I already collect the trucks, so that would be a nice collectable, as well.

I was going to do dart boards in Takoma Amuse O Mat but, I ran out of space. I didn't want to make the cell much larger.

I'll try to get them in at some point.

Thanks.

I agree with everything that Coleen said and would also like to add chess pieces for the chess board we see in the game lol

As far as things to take home:
Brochures or business cards of the buildings that I visited would be really cool.
Some sort of shopping bag? Be really neat if we could take a bag and place it on the floor and drop goodies into it lol (of course we would have to take the things out before we could put the bag into our inventory).

Ok, I'm really geeked out now! :hubbahubba:

I've just reworked most of my existing meshes, in an attempt to learn more about Blender and Nifscope. Now, many of them no longer have the pop-up to vertical issue. I've also added a bunch of new ones,

I've already mentioned the nuka lamp but, here is a list of some of the other generic meshes I'm working on. I'm not going to tell you all of them, especialy the truly, special ones, I still want them to be a fun little surprise for you. :dance:surprise .

Toy Tug Boat,
Toy Speed Boat,
Hot wheels Cars,
Coffee Maker,
Tenpenny Vase, (In two sizes,)
Tonka Trucks,
Tricycle toy, (a request from the nexus,)

I'm working on havok friendly versions of,

Coffee urn and, the Typewriter, as I type this.

Again, If anyone has any thoughts or, ideas on things we need to be able to take home please let me know.

@Miss Sparkle,

Chess peaces are a really great idea but, I don't think I'm at the point where I can start to make custom peaces, such as pawns, knights, kings or, queens yet. However, I will keep the thought in mind.

At this point, I figure the more I learn translates to, the more I can do when "New Vagus" comes out!

I've ben trying to figure this stuff out since I started the mod, last night I finally forced myself to concentrate on it. I didn't allow myself to just get frustrated and quit. Well I got frustrated but, I didn't give up this time. Once I read a few tutorials, I realized it wasn't as hard as I made it out to be. Granted, Blender is totally counterintuitive but, once you figure out its logic it is tolerable.

I'd also love to be able to have a chessboard such as http://i45.tinypic.com/1z55ki1.jpg in SatCom Array NN-03d. Balok http://ypdesign.com/fo3/chekovs/main.htm in Chekov's Place.

Maybe a checker board with different colored bottle caps as pieces then? XD

I just downloaded and installed the mod, (you have the honor of being the author of the first mod I ever tried!) so I'll let you know if I've thought of any improvements that could be made after I've played it for a bit =]

Ok guys, I'm off an a little tangent her but, I've wanted to get my head around Blender and, Nifscope for some time.

Now that I'm starting to get the basics down, I'm working on an update and, a DLC patch, (For the Combo Edition, only, For now! (I may do an update for the standalone versions if there is a demand for it.))

This Patch will bring tones of new scavengeable, Collectable items to the game.

At this point I think I've added 30 or so previously static objects to a havok friendly world. They have all ben scaled appropriately so you wont run into them popping up to full size. I've added everything from my custom espresso machines, G.I. Joe's, Tanka Trucks, Hot wheels Cars to, typewriters and, some special ones your just going to have to find for yourselves.

please let me know if you have a must have object, that I haven't thought of and, I'll see what I can do!

I should be releasing this update in about a week or so.

Just curious, is it possible to make objects like Super Mutants, Raiders etc. into static objects, 'figurines'?

I just thought of something I'd REALLY like to see: sleeping bags! Yeah, we've got mattresses, we've got TENTS for crying out loud, but no sleeping bags!

Also - does this next update include Tacoma Towers? I'm really looking forward to that!

TEXTURE BUG ALERT: The lingere textures in the latest Seward Square version appear to be saved as DXT1. I checked an earlier version and they were saved in DXT3. The differences between the DXT formats is purely in the alpha channel: DXT1 has just a basic On/Off per pixel. DXT3 has noticeable gradients and shouldn't be used. DXT5 has no size difference from DXT3 and has a far more subtle gradient.

So, DXT1 for when you don't need alphas or just need on/off states per pixel, or DXT5 when you need alphas for anything else. Don't touch DXT3.

Hey Cev,

Have you considered making an alarm clock static? something small that will sit on your bed side table?

Well not to sound rude but making things static is not the issue!

it's all about allowing you to bring them home!

Sorry, I think I mis-spoke. I meant static in the sense of not animated... A movable static... Like a wind up alarm clock with the bells on top, but without the relentless ticking. something that can be picked up and brought to the players home.

Its cool and, again I wasn't trying to be rude. One issue with things like the clock and other items is that they are only textured on the side your supposed to see. There for if I were to make them collectable and you dropped them on there face you would see through the back side.

This seems like an issue to me but there are some ways I could solve the problem for a few items. Also you would need to use a that mod (I can't think of its name) that allows you to place items on walls.

So, I'm finally starting to get my head around Blender and, Nifscope, I just created a bunch of new collectables and, I was wondering if there were any objects you guys might want to be able to take home.

For the longest time I wanted to have a Havok friendly Nuka Lamp, Now I do!

Let me know if there is something you think would make a neat collectible and I'll see what I can do.

I would like an alien action figure and UFO. a gun rack to display all the uniques i find, that also means i need a bigger megaton house :( a miniature version of the megaton bomb. A smaller version of the buttercup horse, a doghouse for dog meat, I can't think of anything else right now.

I haven't figured out how do do the aliens yet there arms are sticking strait out to the sides, Its not that cool. I have however already added the UFO and, the bomb. There all ready is a small version of the buttercup horse on the mothership. Although, I had planned on adding a few others around, there aren't enough little girl toys, in my humble opinion.

Whoa. Whoa whoa. Hey CevSteel, do you have the latest beta version of NIFSkope? There apparently is a way to generate convex shapes (IE: havok profiles) in NIFSkope now. Have you discovered this?

No I don't think I have it, I'll have to look it up.

This is something I've wanted to learn even way back when I got you to rework my first collectables for the original Georgetown release. I've spent the last week playing around, reading and, watching tutorials, I've gotten a lot of objects to work the way I want but, I still need to fix up there contact sounds.

Right now I'm going back and forth between blender and, nifscope, only creating rudimentary collision shapes, ie. squares, diamonds, and cylinders or, whatnot. I've ben doing my scaling in nifscope, going to blender to align peaces, combine nif's and, add the collisions. I've done something like 30 or, 40 new items, which I will be refining as my skill set improves. :celebration: That said, my first few releases won't be perfect but, as always I'll do my best to fix them up.

with some luck, I'll be creating my own new custom object soon. Who knows what we'll be able to find then!

Hey Cev,

Just a lil feed back for yah, I grabbed all your toys, inc. rollerskates and sh...stuff and I fast travel home
for a while I just dumped them in the lockers and the safe. While they where in there they were fine and dandy,
no problems at all.

About a month later I remember I had them and so get them from there various storage places and start
putting them out on display, thing went ok until it came to the

1) Red ball and the Rollaskates, if I dropped one it was fine, it stayed where I dropped it, but as I wanted to
be one of the few place in the wastelands that had 2 in the same location I then dropped a second skate
but as I did they both disappeared and one re-appeared down stairs (this is in the megeton house), I tried
several times to get it to stay but, no. I don't get it if you can have two or more in the toy shop why can't
I have two i my house, maybe same reason there is only one skate in most places in the CW.

2) After giving up on the skates I then went and started setting up the model toys, the setting up was fine
especially with the robot auto stand, after setting thing up on display, I left the house.
When I came back they where all gone with the exception of thoughts spares I had kept in lockers and safes
and such.

I dont really need any feed back (unless this has been fixed!), just wanted to give a little fed back on the
problems in your mod.

Ps, Great Work by the way, really makes a difference to downtown Washington :)

Pps. Could you do that big house near Tenpenny Tower and make it not reset, so it is usable for Item storage.
