Interplay wake up and start ADVERTISING !!!

Post » Sat Jun 27, 2009 7:48 pm

Yea ,i think it is the right time (i heard you guys doing well in the licence war with beth) for gamesas to make a "completely" new flashy site and forum only for Fallout mmo.And the game need to be ADVERTISING allot. The game may hit the market even in 2012 but advertising is the best way to get from time fans and to make people hear about this big and awesome project.I know it will cost extra cash but with a great advertise you can get alot more people that will buy and play this game.Tv shows/best mmo sites/rankings/etc.And don't forget it is need for a great site/forum too ,i can add here a few nice sites for example (age of conan ,warhammer online ,stacraft 2,diablo 2 ,mortal online) have some great sites and forums)

PS: And don't forget for the new forum to let us keep our old forum name and posts. Image

The game is already a bit famous :P On gamespot at the pc section you could see it on the "coming soon" list, but there is almost nothing to see there :/ only the concept art. Before advertising they need some real gameplay footage, interviews and atleast some kind of preview, atm there is only the concept art and the leaked footage wich is kind of unreliable. Image

Even with that they can begin to build a new shiny page and a new forum just for Fallout Online .... Image

Yah a web page would allow gamesas to express what kind of game they're going to be releasing and hopefully start raising the kind of interest that encourages financial backing.

It's too early... we still have some amount of time before we're ready to advertise or promote.

I hope in q1-q2 of 2010 we will have a new forum/site only for fallout online. You know some games get advertising even they will hit the market after 1-2 years... Image

gamesas is currently doing more than just developing a game. To advertise prematurely would surely be the death of the game.

The game's future is still uncertain, so they should at least to they(if they) win over bethesda.

I also must point out the lack of a solid community although its still early in the project. I suggest sharing the forums members database with other forums such as nma so that:
1. if you have an account there then you can post in both places
2. these forums are relatively new, and most of the gamesas fans left on other boards
3. can build a solid community between the two forums without splitting it So youre telling me FO3 is better than the first two? Okay i respect your opinion. Can we step outside for a sec?

I also think it is too early to start advertising. The game is uncertain, even the name is uncertain. Needless to say gamesas isn't floating in the money, to waste resources for advertising.

But one thing is in my mind.. Is it THAT important to win or lose the suitcase and naming the game?
Isn't it legally allowed to name the game Mallout and use Mipboy?
Maybe I'm thinking too basic and broad but it would free up the chains, me thinks. No more April 2012 tick-tack and sharing the profit with some other company.

or they could just advertise the game will in production and comming close to post production sales like other games do,idk about you but i just happened to initially hear about project v13 by word of mouth and if i didnt and happened to see a tv commercial for it when they were close to post production i would say "this is a game i must have!" and i vowed it would be the last one i would pre-order and hopefully if they do a pre-order special edtion they dont screw players over that buy it like other games do and just release the sweet content earned from buying mentioned special edition to the general gaming community b/c that's irritating and disheartening when that happens, but i digress. in conculsion i go back to my previous point of they shouldnt advertise until they're close to post production and they could tease w/ a possible release date like "coming spring 2011"
