Interplay's worst game ever

Post » Sat Jun 20, 2009 6:44 pm

On another forum there was a thread about the recent video of volition HQ, who made several games for gamesas years ago. Of course descent and descent freespace were mentioned. The thread made me recall gamesass worst game by far: descent to under mountain. It was an RPG made using the descent engine. Does anyone remember this? I downloaded the demo/beta..wow was that game bad! Someone else on the forum remembered the game, as he bought the full version of it. I had no idea it was ever released

I remember the game but never played it. Heard tons about how bad it was. Luckily, I started with Descent and never looked back. Still play it to this day. Best game ever made. Beta tester for:Descent 3 1.5 Patch, C&C Generals, Independance War 2,Starfleet Command 2,Settlers IV,Tzar,Allegiance,Starfleet Command (Alpha & Beta),MAX 2,Defiance

It was not Descent to Under Mountain. That game was average and it was historic as I think it marked gamesas's run into D&D games.

Their worst game was some clay based game, not Clayfighter.

gamesas's worst game was one you never got to see. It was called "Net Runner", it had tons of live action video. It never saw the light of day but not for lack of effort. For years after the project had been canned people kept trying to revive it. Internally most people jokingly referred to it as "Debt Runner". Maybe now that gamesas is making it's come back someone can put the videos up on YouTube. :D
