For some reason these screenshots remind me of a few maps from Quake III lol, dont ask me why. :P
Anyways, it looks fantastic! The skybox really adds something to the atmosphere. Very impressive work so far!

ps the flesh pod looks weird, but weird is fine for oblivion :)

Can't really read everything on my crappy internet connection... :(

But this looks sweet from what I have been able to see. Good use for all those daedric resources you've released ;)
I especially love those tanglevines!! Nice

I am not sure about the predator race but I know the aliens have been used in other mods, such as hell house x, so i guess they are ok. The author hasnt been around for a long time.

Just as long as you give credit, as with most things, there shouldnt be a problem.

Looks great, although I think the strong resemblance to Oblivion's Oblivion (heh) isn't necessary. There's room for artistic license that could make Morrowind's version much superior, after all almost everyone I know of got SICK of Oblivion's version very quickly. Granted, there seems to only be a single plane in this mod but I could personally do without seeing Oblivion's take on it ever again. Extremely monotonous...

The potential is there, though. Looking forward to the polished images. :)

Edit: Might seem a bit different, but have you considered using the floating island meshes on here to place towers on and have the islands bound by large chains? Might be an interesting touch. Could even have the islands spewing lava down into the "ocean". Another idea might be to have long activators randomly coming out of the lava and arching over walk ways with particle effects (think Contra III fire arches). Or perhaps gigantic monster skeletons partially in the lava with spinal cords functioning as bridges. Eh just trying to jog some creativity. Good luck man.

I've just looked of your new pics and they are great.

On pic14 I can see a chest and I'm not sure of that is floating or is it standing on a edge from the distance?
The next on you have a vanilla cave entrance door, I think that's to common if want to have some unqiue environmental look. You can use the door you see in the DB hide out interior in Old Mournhold instead, because the DB is connected with the Mehrunes Dagon (lore friendly). :)

The skybox looks good in the screens, but I hope it looks as good in the game, while moving around. Maybe you could upload a video when you have found the time to test it ingame.

Yes there is a chest, and its on an edge :D - Dont worrry about that chest though! as i have changed it to a Daedric type chest ;)

As for the door, I can see what your saying, I will take alook at the DB hideout door and let you know how it goes,

Update time, I replaced the cave door with a more daedric looking one as per C.Carjades advice. I also changed all wooden chests i was using to use a more daedric looking chest:

I never thought that I'd actually look forward to closing yet another Oblivion gate. Somehow, you've managed to prove me wrong.

I think you should reskin the door to the Daedric Cavern. It looks pretty out of place, but the design of the mesh looks suitable. As for the Flesh-pod, I don't think leaving the clothing on is a very good idea, at least, the way it looks know just seems as if the Corpus texture was pasted on. Just my thoughts.

The thing is i am using a daedric texture replacer in my game so the gate is contrasting quite alot - plus i have the CS "lights on" button pressed. It fits better with the normal daedric textures and also is a lot darker than it is shown in the screenshot.

As for the flesh pod - its annoying me! The mesh is designed to tile the texture in an odd way. I tried re-skining it buts just being plain stubborn.

Maybe this has been answered already but another way of explaing a Gate to Oblivion would be that the destruction of the Heart of Lokkhar and the deaths of Dagoth Ur, Almalexia & Sotha Sil have weakened the barrier between worlds enough for some daedric influences to be felt in the world of TES, one such manifestation would be Hircine′s influence in Bloodmoon, and this quest to Oblivion could be the crowning achivement for your character in Morrowind so beign the highest level possible would certainly be warranted.

I had thought about this, but then i decided not to - mainly because i want to keep it seprate form the main quest essential journals, refrences and NPCs. This is my first "major attempt" at a quest mod so i dont want to mess anything up in the CS and end up accidently breaking the main quest or causing Dagoth Ur to be Azura's secret lover ( or something crazy like that )

Also i have changed my mind about the imperial rank. You will now have to be Rank 5 in the imperial legion to obtain the quest that points you towards oblivion.

I have just re-textured a robe red and a hood to match to give some resembalance to the mythic dawn cult. I Have also create 3 new NPC's that will act as mythic dawn memebers ( yes generic memebers, they have no specific name) They are:

Mythic Dawn Adept (type 1)- lvl 25, These are the foot soldiers
Mythic Dawn Adept (type 2) - lvl 25, Same as Type 1 but with more spells (espically ranged spells)
Mythic Dawn Agent - lvl 35, Type one and two combined with a few extras

Now for some screenies:
