Introduce Yourself!

Post » Wed Jun 09, 2010 7:01 pm

Born and raised in Naujoji Akmene, Lithuania, gaming has been my focus for almost twenty years. With the pursuit of the American dream, my move to the U.S. has opened a cornucopia of possibilities. Whether it is competing professional in Gears of War, writing for gaming sites that cater to millions or just forming bonds of friendship that will last a lifetime, I have a fair share of "real life" achievements tucked away under my belt.

As of now, I am looking for any freelance gaming-related writing work. Being a staff member on numerous gaming communities including RPGF, Guild Wars Guru and Friendly Fire Gaming, I am always looking to put my skills to use. If you are looking for extra help, shoot me a message and I will gladly send you samples of my work.

You can always reach me at my web-site www.FriendlyFireGaming.net or shoot me an e-mail at TomLekis@gmail.com

Thanks,

Tommy

Hail and greetings! My name is phillip, aka Zankaru Zelladonii, 18 years.

The very first time I ran into an RPG was back in 03 when I had gotten bored and found an old copy of morrowind my dad had apparently gotten bored with and left to collect dust. To be honest, I hated the game at first as I was not used to games harder than mario or starfox and completely unfamiliar with stats and leveling. I quit playing it after a few days and never got past the basic quests in seyda neen. However, later that year boredom drove me back to it and that is the moment my addiction began. For the last couple years I have never gone a month without playing an elder scrolls game, discounting when xbox's broke (recently started playing oblivion on PC and its so much funner).

Some of my fondest memories of gaming has been the first time getting full ebony, when I defeated dagoth-ur, getting the crap scared out of me the first time I fought an ascended sleeper (came around a corner and got a facefull of spell, then it started chasing me, ive never ran out of a dungeon so quickly before or since), seeing my first daedroth and thinking 'Ha, like im getting near that thing!' (I hate the oblivion version). The day I completely finished mapping morrowind was like christmas morning.

Morrowind was my first elder scrolls and my first RPG, and I seriously doubt any game will ever be its equal in my mind. Well, there is always the hope that TES-V will surprise me and be even better than Morrowind. =)

Hi, my name's El;aine, but I'm mostly known as Metal_Girl_Solid, due to my little Metal Gear Solid addiction. Since about a year ago, I've found Fallout, a game that still keeps me occupied for hours a day. I've been in the wasttes for about 500 hours now, and still I discover new things every day. Even discovered I've grown quite fond of Nuka-Cola (tastes like Monster, if I had to pick a flavour :P

So I'd browse mainly trough the Fallout boards, bothering you with questions.

Oh, I'm 22, female, and live in Holland!

Hi everyone, I'm Rogue_SoViEt, I'm 18 years old and I joined the Beth forums a few months ago to talk about Oblivion and Fallout, and to get some info on upcoming Beth games.

I'm on/was on other forums like Pandemica (Spinoff of Pandemic), Gametramp, Infinity Ward, and the deceased Pandemic Studios forums, the place I was most active.

I really like music. In fact, my 500GB HDD is loaded with 126GB of music, ranging from the heaviest of metal to the softest Jazz, classical, gangsta rap (I'm talking about the real stuff like Tupac, Biggy, and Snoop), and some opera.

Hey my name is Amanda, better known as the dreaded Muffin of Doom. I've been gaming hardcoe for like 5 years now. I've played WoW, Oblivion, Sims, Aion, Counterstrike Source, Modern Warfare, and a bunch of other games. I'm currently with a new-ish all-female clan that is about to get started on Modern Warfare 2 and probably other games. I'm not the best player on the team but I can hold my own against most people and I'm an uber sniper. My kung-fu is strong! :toughninja:

Oblivion is by far my favorite game of all time. I mean it has everything: action, suspense, exploration, alcohol, endless content, a paranoid axe-wielding elf, necrophelia (what the heck  ), and Salmo's delicious sweet rolls. Mmmm sweetrolls...

SteelKaos here, but you can call me Brad. I don't know why exactly I haven't joined before considering Fallout 3 is my favorite game of all time. But one way or another, after watching the New Vegas trailer I just had to join. I jizzed in my pants 5 times over as I continually watched the trailer (with three of those times being for the graphics and the other two being for the fact that it's coming out this year, albeit not for many months).

At any rate, I had actually never heard of Fallout until E3 '08. But I liked what I saw and put FO3 on my XMas list in 08. I got it and when I first booted it up...I hated it. Why? It was ridiculously confusing for someone whose only RPGs were the Legend of Zelda games! I set it aside after getting my ass kicked by some MireLurks (my endurance stat was horrible) to play the other game I had received (Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts). A couple months later, after beating that other game with 100% of the achievements, I picked up Fallout 3 again. I explored a bit and learned what was what. Then I restarted and carefully crafted my character using my new knowledge. And then I proceeded to play. I was shocked by just how amazing the game was. I played that first file for 117 hours. Then I made a new one which I played for 107 hours. Another at 103 hours. Finally I made one with all the DLC and got every Achievement and got 100% perfect stats at level 30. Then Mothership Zeta and Point Lookout were released and I added them to my list and got those achievements.

Then came the GOTY edition...I bought it for PC because I have a laptop and wanted to play on the go whereas my preferred copy is on 360. So now I'm working on re-earning all the achievements AND playing through the original games. So yeah, that's more than you guys are gonna read so I'll just leave it there.

Hi, my name is Diamondfist. I live in New York City, U.S.A. I love computer fantasy/limited sci-fi RPGs, and D&D 4E, board, card, dice and casino games. I discovered interest in the Elder Scrolls series, although, I had heard of it years ago. I saw a video on YouTube about TES Arena and Daggerfall, and after watching them, I had to have them. I bought Arena and Daggerfall from eBay complete in box (I never do things small, I have to do them all the way!) and just got Morrowind Game of the Year today from eBay too. I ordered Oblivion Game of the Year new from the Amazon Marketplace.

I never thought I would like these games, but I don't know anybody who plays these, and I'm always a latecomer to many things in life anyway. I don't have a lot of time to play games as I'd like with my job (which I'm grateful to have) but look forward to making time for these.

I have a now huge collection of fantasy and a few sci-fi computer RPGs, mostly for DOS (thank goodness for DosBox too!) and all disk based games I am working on backing them up to CD-ROM with my HP Lightscribe DVD Burner. I love multi-character parties, but in single-player games like TES series, I prefer a character that has a little versatility to cover most of the situations in which one would encounter. Thanks for taking the time to read my post!

Hi all, I should have done this weeks ago but I'm new to the forums and am still learning how to use it. Didn't see this page, sorry, just found a message in my in box, auto from G-Staff. Anyway I'm Haygyn when I post in the forums. My interest in TES started with Oblivion, then I discovered Morrowind and have been playing it regularly since about 2007, although I still like Oblivion, just can't play it at the moment as the graphics card has died on my main computer :( and the one I'm on at this time is can only play Morrowind :) I just love how you can play these games anyhow you like, be any type of character you like, whether a goody or a baddy. And the mods, wow, there's more than you can shake a stick at :)
Well a bit about me then, I live in the UK, I work as a landscape gardener, specialisation hard landscaping. Hobbies include mountain biking, although there's a dearth of them round here, have to travel a way to find one. Love fishing and camping and a bit of rambling, no I don't own any red knee length socks:p Any way thats enough for now. Sorry for the belated introduction, see you around the forums, its all good:)

Hello all! I've been lurking on the Bethesda forums for a few years on and off but I've been a regular member over at TESNexus.com since 2005 or so. I got svcked into RPG's with Morrowind and played till my eyeballs bled. My friends with Playstations were always like "Morrowind, whats that?" as I babbled endlessly about the awesomeness of Tamriel. Also I was a WoW freak for a few years and I got caught up in that whole universe. I said my goodbyes, parted with my wolf mount and left the horde never to return. I'm strictly a single person RPG gamer now and play Morrowind & Oblivion religiously. I also have been playing Fallout 3, Dragon Age and Torchlight along with a little Assassin's Creed and The Witcher. I eagerly await the day I load up TES5 and explore another part of Tamriel! I'm a part time musician and have sang as a frontman in a few rock/metal bands and I love science fiction, horror, fantasy, westerns, martial arts movies. I'm an older thirty something who just returned to College and am determined to finish this time. I've learned so much from the Elder Scrolls community about mods, lore, and just general PC maintenance and upkeep. A big thank you to my fellow gamers, mod gurus, moderators and Bethesda for such a great site!

Hi everyone! I've been looking for a good Bethesda fan community for a long time, and even toying with the idea of starting my own. Just thought I'd register here and see what's going down. I might decide to be a regular even.

See you around!

hi, i'm the sluggish goat.. or joe. i've roamed the u.s. from coast to coast for the past 7 years, tattooing, philandering, and growing hair.. i've also done artwork for underground punk/metal bands and show flyers for diy venues around the great lakes. played in a few bands as well.. buuut i'm better at drawing than shredding. recently migrated from the frozen north to the dirty south to earn a class A cdl, and drive the big trucks for a while. savin up loot so i can eventually afford to draw all day, level up, and make some nasty dungeons to crawl through. (and finally eat some good food while doing so!) i like listening to blasphemous war metal, sludge, minimalist drone, and 90's memphis underground rap. i am more addicted to RPG's than i am to nicotine. i can go without sleep for a very long time. but do enjoy dreaming, and writing/drawing out my oneiric adventures. since i am currently out in the middle of nowhere, my social interactions have been limited to lurking around this forum, talking to moira brown, and the occasional exchange of grunts and howls with the beasts that reside in and under cyrodiil. way into the old conan comics (the barbarian, saga, savage sword) and heavy metal magazines from the 1970's and some from the early 1980's (mainly for moebius and druillet's work). love reading robert e. howard, frank herbert, and h.p. lovecraft. i like to take a lot of pictures in my travels, and make layered photo collages with paint.net. and i have some fun making ms paint collages with old school professional wrestlers making many guest appearances. when it isn't raining every single day for a month, and it aint too flooded out, i like to go trudging through the swamp armed with a machete, rifle, and camera. i like to collect feathers, animal skins, shiny rocks, bones, and swamp vines to turn into staves. and i take pictures of moss, fungi, algae, decaying animals, and other textures/colors to use as reference material. and just to stare at for a long time when i'm all sleep deprived. (that's how my brain soaks it up.) hmmm... i think that's about it..
came here to check out the news & share my thoughts on fallout:new vegas, get a chance to talk to some of the people that make my favorite games, participate in the massive amount of threads on fallout and the elder scrolls, and learn a thing or two about making 3D dungeons with the GECK and TES CS. so far, so good. happy to be aboard.

Hey, my names Greg. I'm really really into music. I really like The Beatles, Streetlight Manifesto, Modest Mouse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more bands. I also play bass, piano, guitar, and drums. I LOVE MUSIC. :D

Video game-wise, I love RPGs like Oblivion and the Fallout series, can't stand most FPSs like Call of Duty. Although I like Borderlands. That's a fun game.

So yeah. I realize nobody is going to read this but I'm just bored and decided to write this. :P

Hahaha, I've been here two years and I don't think I've ever used the Introduction thread.

Hi, I'm Kimera. I joined to talk Oblivion, then later Fallout 3, and now I'm waiting for New Vegas. You'll usually find me in the Community Discussion section of the forums. And if I've already introduced myself, I apologize in advance.
