Well let us start with the first topic shall we? I have lurked these forums for quite some time and have decided I might as well finally register. So, as you can tell, I have. Let's start with my username then. Son of Rig. It comes from an old Norse Mythology story where in Heimdall, a god, traveled the world under the name of Rig and he created mankind. So really, being a Son of Rig means you are human, but I still thought the name to be clever and interesting. As you have most likely already guessed, I have a passion for mythology, specifically that of the Norse, Celts and Finnish. I speak enough of several languages (Spanish, Russian, Finnish, Gaelic, Latin, German) to get by somewhat all right in their respective places. I have been playing Morrowind on and off since it was released, way back in the days when I played on my xbox.

I have always been a gamer. Not only that, but I have been a role player. I have played D&D and many other games like it, not to mention countless RPG's and MMO's. Not once have I been able to resist the urge to role play. Now my posting here marks the end of a long Morrowind hiatus. Why the hiatus is over is I finally got around to buying the game for the PC. I suddenly have a whole new passion for it. However what I really look forward to is learning how to mod it. I have been modding Oblivion and Fallout 3 for close to two years, but the construction set for morrowind is a bit different.

Anywho, I'm rambling. The second portion of this thread is dedicated to a bit of an odd topic. Now, the reason I love MMO's is the social interaction in-game. I can role play with my character, other people can see what my character looks like, see his gear, see what he has accomplished. I thrive on it. What I am looking for here, is someone to help me somewhat simulate that. Basically, a friend to talk to about Morrowind and our respective characters, perhaps write role play threads or something along those lines involving them and trade pictures and the like of our characters in action. Yeah, I know it's weird but so am I!

I have yet to really decide upon a character concept though, which is quite often the hardest part for me in these games. They all sound so fun, I just can't decide. (Any suggestions would be much appreciated as well.).
