My adventures in the Fallout universe actually started with FO2. I played it tirelessly - so much so that I knew all of Sgt. Dornan's lines by heart. I since "moved on" to FO1 - getting the backstory is important, after all. FO: Tactics also got its turn, along with FO:BOS for PS2. Wasn't too fond of the latter - just didn't do the franchise justice, if you ask me.
Now, when FO3 first came out, my initial thought was "aw, hell no!", because the only true Fallout experience was to be had in 2D. None of this FPS nonsense. But of course, being the avid Fallout fan that I am, I had to try it - and I have to admit that I was smitten. My first meeting with FO3 was on PC, but I later bought the GOTY edition for PS3, which is also my chosen platform for FO:NV. And now comes FO4, which, for me, is the ultimate reason to acquire a PS4.
So much for introductions. Now on to the ideas.
We need a "remake" of FO1, 2 and possibly Tactics. I mean, most, if not all, new computers can't even run them. And they are far too good to just let them fade into obscurity. Not to mention that it might actually breathe new life into the games if they were reborn in the same style as FO3 and NV.
So this is my prayer to you, Bethesda. Now I just hope someone with the necessary power sees this.
Sincerely,
A longtime Fallout fan.
