is there any place where we can go with all this stupid problems etc? I mean, they released a product and it svcks and other people are still buying it. Maybe anyone could write few emails to known PC magazines? They should be interested.

They do their best to cover the issues that users still experience, but this takes time. If you for whatever reason don't have the time or patience to wait till everything works as intended you should contact the EA support and let the developers do their job.

Anyway, just taking a closer look what they have done inbetween already, I hardly think that new customers even would notice that there are still any kind of issues with the account creation system, cause for them it should run pretty much flawless already at this time.

My problem is that I created a second account when the PC Demo came out. So if I change the name of this account and log in with it, I'll lose all of my progress, and probably also my limited edition bonus to boot.

What can/should I do???

Well, way to change it is in first post. Duh. Change account name and done. That helped me with login problem.

Read the other posts, that doesn't work for a number of people, including me.

I tried changing the account name, many many times. I keep getting the "invalid username" error.

I tried changing the password many, many times. I keep getting an "invalid characters" error.

Hell, I even tried over at GameSpy, and got similar errors there.

very nice game

Well I'm still having this problem for over a week now. I try to log into the game at the login screen and it says invalid login info. I've tried everything inclduing syncing my account info here. This is an account I made from the day the demo launched and I bought the retail version day 1. Was playing fine until a weel ago now I suddenly can't log in and nothing I try works. I refuse to make a brand new account with a new email address and lose all my progress and LE content. That pure ****. I won't do it. Crytel what are we supposed to do about not being able to play the game we paid for????

I'm now seriously thinking of traveling to Germany, tying this stupid game to a brick and throwing it into Crytek's building window. I have never in my life owned such a ****, buggy and pathetic game with the most useless support you can ever imagine. And i'm a heavy gamer for over 15 years. ****.

I've been unable to log into this game for a while now... this is really getting old. I am unable to change my name via gamesas.

I'm considering trying to gather enough people to form a class action lawsuit against this company, it would atleast be a partial refund.

i can login using my email address and it appears to work and I get a message saying hi with options to logout etc but when I go to edit profile or click on the link on the first page that supposedly lets you changes username it logs me out as asks for my username and password again and if I type my email and password in again I just keep going round in circles using the suggested username change thing doesn't work. I haven't been able to use multiplayer because of this for three days now. It happens everytime ... THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MESS, THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO FIX THINGS.

UPDATE : i MANAGED TO RECOVER MY OLD USERNAME BY RUNNING CRYSIS WARS THAT i HAD INSTALLED ON AN OLD PC

Tried changing my account name to somthing else but when I press save changes and it loads it's just comes back tO the same page and my account hasn't been changed! Anyone else having thing problem, any solutions?

Still can't change the **** nickname. Useless Crytek, they canm't make a **** single thing to work right. Their game is broken, their forums are broken. I bet they also have broken offices and broken hands. Judging by their useless end products...

It keeps saying either "an error occured" or "xxxxx contains invalid characters" even simple words like "boo" don't work?

It does not work.

I can log on to my account using my e-mail and password but there is no nickname assigned to the account. If I try to Edit Profile I get a page without profile options which states I need to sign in.

I have had to use an old account login with an old and now redundant e-mail address just to post this reply.

My Limited Edition Content is registered to the account I can't access. I have a confirmation e-mail telling me its registered to the account for my current e-mail but without a nickname or access to set one up I can't play online or access the limited edition content I have redeemed.

This needs sorted out!!!

I'm still waiting for a fix that works! It is ridiculous that still hasn't been properly fixed. I know one of the solutions already stated is to change the account name, except the option seems to have disappeared under Edit profile.

It's almost 2 months since the game's release and I demand an update on this serious problem. Actually, this problem has been around since the demo, since I've never been able to log into the demo either!

where can i find the activation code for multiplayer? i put a code i found in the box but it says something like "The Code Should Be XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" didn't said wrong code or anything. can someone help me? thanks
