Invalid Accounts and Unable to log In

Post » Thu Jan 06, 2011 5:42 pm

Hello,
As the title states, from the very fact that i can log in and post a thread on this forum, this
shows that my account is working, and IF I am not wrong, this account is linked to the crysis
login screen. But when I try to log in, it says I have invalid account, perhaps password or nickname
defect. So I tried changing my password several times, and then tried logging in into the game,
but to no avail. I would like those who are going through the same problem as me and post your
experiences on this thread. I have sent a message to the support team on this very website, but
no reply yet. Please share your experiences and if you managed to sort this problem that I am having,
please post your solutions as well.

Very much appreciated.

At around 8:45am (EST) I was online playing on the ded servers. I wanted to put my LE code in so i can be level 5 and get all my free stuff. So i closed the game and attempted to put the code in. That was a failure so I decided to play the game again to be welcomed by the "Your serial code has been disabled". So now I'm all upset and emotional because i can't play my awesome new game, and I believe my metaphoric vag might start bleeding soon :'\

It lets me go online for multiplayer, it shows my extra stuff from the special edition, then when i click join, it says my serial code is invalid... i bought the game this morning, and have made sure the code is correct. When i click back, the serial code is no longer typed in, so i re-type it in, and get the same problem. UGH... Please help.

Seeing the same problem. I used an old Gamespy account name for the demo, but I would like to use my (this) name for the retail game.

I too am getting the "Serial code is incorrect. A valid serial code is reqired to play Multiplayer", whenever I try to join a server. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Go Crytek!

I also have the account login issue. Works fine on here but not in the game, same as in the demo. It let me create a new account in the demo, and that one would probably work here, but I'd really prefer to use my normal username. I can't believe this issue hasn't been ironed out yet.

Side note: I tried to change my password on here to see if that'd make a difference, and it doesn't let me. It'll say "ok password changed" but it's still the same one as before. This is so screwed up.

Throwing my hat in the ring. Exact same problem. Unable to login using this account which I created on this site. I haven't tried entering my limited edition content code due to the problems people have had that are having this login problem. I'm not able to send a support request, perhaps they disabled the button due to overwhelming requests. If you were able to get a request submitted, please update this thread should you be blessed with an answer. I know I'd appreciate it as would your fellow gamers I'm sure.

P.S. I also have the change password problem petethepanda described.

Thanks

I poked EA's chat support to see if they can help at all. It's going on 15-20 minutes now.

Meanwhile, I've been stuck listening to this.

Update:

The EA Chat Support can't/won't do anything either.. so it looks like those of us with this issue must wait a bit longer. Oh well.

I'm having the same issue with my version as well (STEAM purchase). I cannot login to my account that I created here in the game, and my serial code isn't staying entered in the game. I haven't tried entering my limited edition serial into the site yet, but I've been seeing other people saying that it isn't working either... I guess... I'll just wait until this is fixed? Hopefully today... sometime... maybe?

The CD-Key is invalid or CD-Key is in use problems are very different from this one.

This one is about not being able to get past the login page.

EA's chat support just waved me off after looking for an answer for 20 minutes, and I've not gotten a response from gamesas.com/support yet.

Impressed with?

Well I am very impressed by the amount of people going through the same problem as me.
I have contacted EA staff, they brought it to a level 2 problem, they thought it was due to port forwarding,
but still having the same issue after 1 hour of trouble shooting, and now I am told to contact IGN. I have no idea
how to fix this as I am damn desperate to play this game online. Anyone managed to fix this yet?

I think Crytek has downgraded the crap out of themselves. Besides me, I am betting they've lost a lot of people due to the fact they are selling pre-orders for things that don't work to people like us. The point of the damn pre-order was to get a head-start.. ***ing great. While we wait for that head-start, people will be twice a head from us. Great.

Thanks for the update Blackwater! At least you are getting some movement on the matter. Have they mentioned to you that they are aware of this issue? that it is widespread? There is a thread similar to this one in the multi player area of the forums. I have to imagine there are more people in this boat than meets the eye in this thread.

Please keep us informed and thanks for championing the cause. I will try again to contact them as well.

Yes I myself am trying to keep this matter up to date as I know how you guys feel. I have found a similar thread.
http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=10954
Please do take a look as it is similar. I have send an email to the help&support section of this website, and I am currently awaiting a response.
And yes, it 'seemed' that the EA staff only knew about this once i showed them this thread. He was saying that yes, he sees that alot of us have this issues, but he still told me to contact IGN for some reason, and i asked why IGN? What are they gonna do? And all he said was contact them and all your issues will be resolved. Well i just sent them the mail so yeah....fingers twisted
Please keep this thread alive and Moderators PLEASE DO HEED OUR CRIES!

Yours faithfully
