Hello all.
I am a new member on here and wanted to ask about a problem i am having in regard to the game.
Basically i bought my copy of it from a seller on Ebay and it came with the relevant paperwork including print outs of the sellers account details,codes,etc but when i attempt to install it i am having difficulties.
The cd is put in the computer and a screen comes up to say connecting to my steam account as i have set one up for myself as i thought it best to do so.
Once this screen clears i am then asked to put the code which is in the jewel case and once this is done another message then appears to say that the product code i have entered has already been activated by an existing steam account,and is therefore invalid.Your activation of Fallout New Vegas has not been completed.
I have tried using all of the information sent to me and nothing is happening and as a consequence have sent messages to steam support to which i am awaiting a reply.
In the meantime i have sent a message to the seller explaing the situation to which he has said that the wifi doesn't always connect,sometimes interference and if i wish he will refund including postage and i have this morning made sure that the only things connected are the power cables,telephone line for the router and the router itself but still i am getting the same message on screen.

Can anyone please advise me what i can do as i hate having what is basically a piece of plastic sitting and doing nothing and don't want to do the refund unless i have no other choice in the matter.

You shouldn't buy the PC version of Fallout: New Vegas used. The CD-key is already used and gone.

I guess you could try to contact Steam support, and prove to them that you're the owner of the game with a photo, but it's not certain they will listen.
