have you ever crafted for lower level characters?

i usually supply my lower level guildies with crafted gear free of charge

i usually craft for my own alt's

so yes real crafters, that arent just crafting for themselves, do need to hang onto lower level materials

i have actually found that to be a niche market in almost any game ive played, lots of competition crafting the endgame gear, so you dont sell much, i could usually make more profit selling to lower level people, because there werent as many people crafting for them, and thats without price gouging i could simply sell goods faster

Why can't you go back down to lower lvl zones and collect new low lvl mats? Why is it you can only use mats you have already gathered.

True this. Use the materials to lvl up and then sell it to a vendor. Clear the bags and rinse and repeat.

Very much doubt it will be 5K gold if they give you 200 slots.

I bank slot upgrade at later levels costs 45000g. ;)

The best MMOs incorporate multiple styles of play in an inclusive way - I have found in my 15 years of experience that when they start excluding certain play styles they can end up with problems.

because i dont like wasting my time gathering low level stuff?

i like to craft for lower level people because it helps them out, and if they arent my guildies i even make a small profit,

if i have to go to a level 15 zone for an hour, to craft a few items, how much do you think i could have made in a level 50 zone in the same amount of time?

im not going to do it if it sets me back by a lot, so this is detrimental to new players

in FF14ARR which is the latest game i played(trend was the same in all games) i could sell lower level gear as fast as i could craft it, because not many bothered to craft for low level people, but the market was certainly there! people wanted to buy those goods, in this game that is not as likely to happen, sure lower level people can craft for themselves, but i would be able to craft the same gear with the same materials and it would have set bonuses on top...

BOOYAH refund accept and being processed thank you green man gaming best of luck guys the screwover done to casuals and crafters today basically let me know that Zenimax doesnt want to have anything to do with crafters or casuals in their peeveepee game so I am outties unless their atitude changes like really soon

but my basis for wanting a refund is simple

if I want a guild for me and my 7 alts then I should be able to have it

if i want a guild bank for me and my alts then I should be able to have 1

if i want to gather every crafting material on the planet and save it then I should be able to do so and there should be enough space to allow me to do so

if i want to group with a couple brand new players and help them out on some quests then i should be able to do so

if i am teaching my young son how to play mmo's and i want to group with him then i should be able to do so

if i want to trade an item to another player in my group then I should be able to do so

if i want to roll need/greed on items in a chest in a dungeon then i should be able to do so the current ninja chest system that is in place is worthless

if i want to collect every vanity pet ever to be created in this game then i should be able to do so that includes the mudcrab and the monkey and whatever other pet i want to get eventually

if i want to save some armor for my alts in my bank then i should be able to do so

by refusing to allow me to do all these things you are basically telling me that my play style is not acceptable in your game

So much for the term "dedicated crafter" I guess. So basically you are only dedicated to the point where you might actually have to do some stuff your self. So instead of simply traveling in the game world and gathering low lvl mats, the better solution is to just be able to gather and hold every single item you come across? lol Dedicated, yeah right.

I wonder if I can just pay to upgrade +10 bag spaces, over and over again ? Or is there a maximum space I can get ?

What he says is perfectly sensible. If a craftsman's skill is relatively appropriate for their level, then their goods will be highly sought after by characters just a few levels lower.

The flipside: does it break the game in any way if crafters have access to special materials storage? There might be some valid reasoning there, but I'm not seeing it.

Isnt this getting a bit out of hand? I mean so much rage on such a trivial issue.

Having less inventory space just means materials are going to be worth more, because you can hoard less of them.

Economy needs to be somewhat balanced and having an unlimited inventory does not help with exchanging wares.

Why would anyone farm and sell mats when everyone already hoarded a redicolous amount of them? There would be no market for them.

We already have "goldsinks" in MMOs, take the limited inventory space as a "matsink".

There are a set number of upgrades with each tier getting progressively more expensive.

1) Why throw out the low materials that you already have, just to need to go farm them again?

2) How many zones does he need to go farm, if he is helping several players at different levels?

3) Why will he need to waste hours of his time farming mats instead of playing the game? Especially since he had extras of those mats already.

4) Even if he goes back and farms mats, where is he supposed to put them? His bank is full of highest level crafting mats, remember?

A dedicated crafting mats tab in the bank is the real solution here. If it can be used ONLY for crafting mats and is large enough to store all of them, it won't affect anyone who doesn't feel like crafting, but will help those who do Immensely.

Not quite true. I just watched a video on twitch of a Vet10 player with 111 bag slots. This helps me keep the hope alive. There was this dev crafting video showing inventory at 200 slots. Maybe it is true.. *crosses fingers*.

Can't remember what his bank slots were.

Why would you throw them out? Sell them on a guild store, or put them in the guild bank for others to use.

I was under the impression that those asking for more slots were "Dedicated" Crafters. So why is searching and gathering mats which is a part of crafting such a hard thing to want to do? Doesn't seem to dedicated to me if you're not willing to take part in an aspect of crafting.

Are you implying that every aspect of a worthwhile pastime is equally enjoyable? Because I'll be happy to give you examples of activities where parts can and should be changed for greater enjoyment.

Think of those mats as my time invested - why should I throw my time away when it was a labour of love and I know I will need them?

Selling, throwing out, same thing = result is no mats.

Dedicated crafter does not mean the person wants to run around low level areas farming mats. It means they will develop their crafting skill to the max and spend a lot of their time crafting for themselves as well as others.

Farming the mats is a means to an end, not the end of itself.

Horse inventory counts toward the Character slots. So yes it is possible to around 200 slots plus what ever banks slots you have so like 300+.

Ok because I would certainly invest my money in bag slots over time, no matter the cost :)

That is always something I care in TES games, bag space, I always want more !

If I can just pay to get more and more space... Would be great to know if there's really a maximum or not.
