Inventory and Bank Space Increased Today

Post » Wed Mar 05, 2014 10:11 am

The new patch notes that came out today said your starting inventory will be increased by 10 slot and your bank inventory will be increased by 30 slots. The uprgrades were reduced so in the end they will be the same size but this should dramitically help new players get going with more inventory

after I hit a certain level of focus and knowledge my Avatar routinely carried no more than 10/60 items at any time

4 of those were PvP siege/ camp equip

1 pair of blue boots I was debating what to do with

1 small stack of health pots

some craft mats of my singular focused crafting scheme

and something else

my bank however was full

1000g at lv 23 was not a problem for the bank upgrade I just forgot to upgrade it

I could pretty much mule 50 items per dungeon so now its even better.

@lower level though the bag space was a problem

Thats still not bad though, but no reason to be a pack mule, in a game with so many merchants to sell off unneeded items to lol.

Not sure if they will add transferring money to other characters, but one way would be that you are in the same guild as your own character trade some stuff to it and made the "noob" character sell the item in your own guild and buy it with your higher lvl char.

gold between characters is also possible now from what i read

the bag/bank space wont fix anything at all if they kept the maximum as it was

the real problem was not at early levels, where we only have access to 1 tier of materials, the real problem is when we have access to all 7 tiers of materials, so this is a cosmetic fix nothing else, it appears good for new players, but after a few days you will be in the same situation

I read in one of the release notes that gold in the bank was being added.

at level 12 i had 80 slots in my bag and 50 in the bank, and i had to carry 35/80 with me when i left town because i had no room in my bank...this was with no items, 1 stack of pots 1 stack of food and no siege equipment at all, and not picking up all the tier 2 provisioning items!!

thats an acceptable expansion, not too much and actually helpful, good decision. I was lvling enchanting, blacksmithing, and clothing so i usually had little space buts thats just because i didnt find enough round and square runes so i had tons of triangle ones jamming my bank. I was constantly gathering while questing so i would come back with like stacks of mats and then craft them out of existence then go back to questing with only like 10 slots out of 70 permanently full, but my bank was always pretty full

When you have access to all 7 tiers, are you really going to keep the lower tiers? For what?

is it possible the devs could allow us crafters to purchase "matterials baggs" to hold all of our crafting matts? the crafting matt bagg could have 200 slots and be purchasable for 5000 gold. it would truely help.

When your bags are full, use the crafting items you have?

And try not to focus on all eleventy crafts at the same time on the same character.

That'll help.

"But I might want to make something for someone!!!"

The same logic used by hoarders. "But I might need that someday!"

I found out long ago that holding on to lower level materials was no good because I never *did* use them.

Vendor will give you a few gold for them.

No one wants to buy crafting materials. Especially since they can't just go to the AH and buy them.

What I would like to see is the inventory slots being per tab rather than in total and banks having two tabs for personal and shared space. I think storage would be perfect then. (Upgrades would then be applied to all relevant tabs either inventory or bank)

I was leveling pretty much everything, constantly full inventory. One upgrade each. I still managed fine with smart invintory management. Bank got long term storage and valuable or rarely found items. Bag got crafting mats such as jute, ore, lumber, etc. which meant each one took one slot in the bag instead of one in the bag and one in the bank. Crafted stuff any time I went by a crafting table to keep the stacks down. Prioritized what can get dumped if I needed to dump something. Alchemy mats with undiscovered first stats got used. Food and drink that I only had one of also got used to clear space. Vendor trash and common provisioning mats that I didn't have a lot of topped the list of disposables.

Toss em in the guild bank or put them up for a reasonable price (*shock* ) at the AH rather than marking them up 20000% from vendor price.

it wasnt increased at all lol read it again they gave us 30 more slots to start with and then took 30 slots we could have expanded with later so the total amount of bank space and bag space is still exactly the same

so yeah once again you pvpers are putting conditions on how I play my game, quite honestly a game is meant to be played how I want to play it or anyone else wants to play it, telling us we cannot play the game our way is a huge mistake as your going to see I think.

right now your telling us

its not ok to be hoarders

its not ok to be a crafter of all crafts

its not ok to group

its not ok to trade items with group members

ibleh im tired of posting this over and over based on your stunt today you have pretty much told us crafters and casuals where we stand

as to the rest of you dont bother we have asked and asked and asked for storage PER char and storage that is account wide they have blatantly told us today that its not happening

I see the perpous behind low storage, and im not for huge personal storage. I do think that this is a good change, the space was justa bit to little.
