Inventory objects aren't stacking

The problem: Whenever I pick up items from the game world, they are now being treated as individual items when they get put in my inventory, which means they do not stack as you would expect. So instead of getting, say, a stack of three venison, I get three individual units of one venison each when I pick them up.

Only way to fix this is to put the items into a container, which for some reason allows them to stack properly. But then if I try to drop them as individual units, all but one vanishes.

It is definitely a mod causing this. A new game test with full LO and Oblivion.ESM only has confirmed this. The trouble is... which one?

If anyone can offer any input, please do. Until then, I'm going to be going through my load order until I figure out which mod is causing this.

If they are items like Pelts, Meats, etc use Refskope and are from Cobl and OOO that is fixed in upcoming 1.35 OOO and next Cobl Update has well..

If they are items like armor, weapons, use refskope and tell me what they are coming from

Else check your bashed patch inventory and make sure that OOO and Cobl are both getting selected under inventory..

I was specifically testing with ingredients. All of the ingredients being picked up were vanilla ingredients, so they should have been stacking, but for some reason were not.

However, I have isolated the problem: Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul.

Which means the implications here are rather dire. A major backbone of my load order has broken down, one that my current load order has relied on for a very long time. I'm going to test clean-saving OOO, but I am very unsure of where to go from here.

EDIT: Clean-saving was a bust. Now I'm going to check the Bashed Patch.

I would Update your BASH to SVN Version if not already using it..

Else

Build in Python Mode and see if that make a difference

Well, I can't say it's the Bashed Patch either, as the problem persisted when I loaded ONLY OOO alongside Oblivion.ESM. I never used CBash for gameplay, so that option is out, too.

I really don't know what has happened here, but it seems OOO has decided it is done working with me.

My only other option was to try to clean-save the ESM from the save, but if I try that, the game hangs up on the load screen when I try to reload the game.

EDIT: And it's also occurring with OOO loaded in a new game.

I've had this happen and I don't run OOO... It has to do with the extended attributes on the items. Are you running Display Stats? I think that had a problem that caused this at one point, but TNO fixed it, so you might want to check that you're running the most recent version.

At least, until I put the food away in a container or sell it, then it gets stacked properly.

If the food is stolen, bought, or is placed by a mod, then this doesn't happen.

As for why OOO is the cause of all this... I really cannot say.

Try the No Guild Ownership optional esp, from the OOO 133 package.
