wz_inventory v2

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 9:03 am

Hello forum.

With Skyrim coming up, I'd like to get into IV again.. but unfortunately, I lost my very own mod (shoutout to Western Digital here).

So, does anyone still have the old version 2 beta of the inventory mod? Unfortunately, I only sent it to 2 or 3 people by mail. It was the one w/o the stacking bug and w/o the ingame grid/list toggle.

Woah! Nice to see you back, man!

Wasn't your inventory mod integrated into DarNified UI ? IIRC, it lets you toggle b'ween the grid and list views. Not sure about the stacking bug though. Perhaps DarN could shed some light on the subject.

IIRC, I sent the unfinished 1.8 beta to DarN to include in his amazing body of work. However, I had a trimmed down version 2 without the fancy stuff that worked really well as a simple replacement. It was a rewrite, so DarN's version would not be of much help. Since I have no files, no mails and no recollection who I'd sent it to, I thought someone here might have it. Oh well. Carry on.

If it helps, someone released a http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9937 which is what I've been using all these years. It still has the grid/list toggle but no overlap bug.

Welcome back!

Gentlemen, it's been a while! Good to see some familiar faces still hanging around.

The UI mods out there are excellent. I was just hoping to find some old stuff I did. For sentimental purposes, say.

Welcome back WZ_ , I dont know how much work went into Gothic251's adaptation of WZ Inventory (or what version he used as a base before adaptation), but check out http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11280

5.
If you want to restore the classic menu format, simply drag and drop all files within Optional Menus\Classic Inventory to your Data folder. Let it be known that wz_Inventory is now even closer looking to the classic menu format, and to instantiate the wz_ abilities of it, one must click the icon in the top left hand corner of the inventory. To make it stay as wz_ formatting, simply edit Menus\Prefabs\darn\inventory_config.xml.

Hmm. Might possibly have it. I have several different wz_inventory versions. It might have been forwarded to me back in the day. I need to dig out some of my old back-up disks and check.

I've lost your mod several times (shout out to Seagate, there), and I'm sure I don't have any copies left, but I do want to say: Welcome back! wz_Inventory has always been by-far my favorite inventory overhaul, and I still think it's utterly incredible what you convinced Oblivion to do. Nice to see you around!

Thank you buddah! So, you're still maintaining that list? I remember the dynamic version I put on my website exhausted my monthly traffic ... in something like 8 hours. People sure love the work you do.

Zanderat, I don't want to trouble you. I guess I will put together a new version, real quick. And hey DW, nice to see you too! Those other UI mods are much more impressive and really well polished. I just like to keep the games closer to their original state.

I should add that all credit is due to the genious programmer who made the interface adjustable by simple markup. Needless to say, he was let go by BS.

Great, my most favorite inventory mod will get and upgrade once again! :D (I like the dynamic version the best, it is an older one, but works well for me and I can set the size of it as I want right in the game. ;)) No idea if it helps, but Nehrim uses one adaptation of your inventory. Can't say which one though.

Hi I used your mod back in the Day, but I was totally seduced by the Dark Version of Darn.
I'm now Playing Nehrim, well not exactly playing it more modding it than playing it at the moment, but i haven't been able to get Darn to work with Nehrim, & am on the lookout for an Interface & HUD Improvement for Nehrim, so I will keep a close eye on this space Regards Beebee
