Invisibility doesn't work.

So the description of invisibility should be changed to: "Makes it so that everything can still see you just fine."

What else is there to say other than it simply does not work. At all. :\

Undead, vampires and machines will detect you, iirc, without a perk.
Look at the illusion skill tree.

I guess I should specify that Invisibility does not make you invisible to anything, not just undead vampires and automotons.

It works for me. Where did you try to use the spell?

I'll try it in my game some time.

Use it and walk up to an enemy.

Be in a fight, use potion, try to run away.

Yeah it's never worked for me either, but then again I only use it trying to escape. Maybe it's only effective if used before they spot you. Kinda silly IMO, invisible is invisible right?

They can still detect you if you make noise. Durrr

Anything short of standing still or sneaking slowly will make you get noticed.

Yeah invisibility doesn't mask sounds if I'm remembering right.

People will still hear the sound of you walking. Try to sneak while being invisible. Sure, if you run around invisible people will notice you.

Try being invisible before combat, then walk in front of an enemy.

Exactly. If you make noise, bump into an enemy, run, etc. they will know where you are.

For a wizard, if you don't use the Sneak skill, you should use the Muffle spell to make yourself silent and the Invisibility spell so they can't see you. Viola! "The Wizard Stealth" combo!

Correct me if I'm wrong but just because you're invisible doesn't mean that you have silent footsteps. As a stealthy character with an ability to turn invisible while sneaking makes me feel invincible because they can't here me and the invisibility spell makes it so that even in light I can't be seen.

You have to have muffle on before invis works? News to me, not how it worked in OB.

I'll try that. What happened is I keep using invis as an escape and it works for a second but then after about 2 secs they just charge me and kill me.

Do you need to have sneak perks for invis to be useful for avoiding confrontation?
