I really like some of the outfits in the game--particularly the Colonial Duster, but you're kinda gimped if you want to wear it because, even if you have the Ballistic Weave and the mod to be able to use it on armor, you can't wear other armor without completely messing up the look through clipping.

So would there be a way to get some armor that didn't have a visible model that would clip through stuff?

In Skyrim Creation Kit u could just delete the Model Path. So the Item gets invisible but it still exist. Try it.
