Invisible Wall preventing me completing "Climb Every Mou

Post » Fri Dec 02, 2011 5:59 pm

Anyone else had this issue and if so, does anyone know how to get around it?

I'm trying to complete "Climb Every Mountain" near Bitter Springs. I can climb up to the mountain near the Great Kahn supply cave, but am unable to get close. On looking closer, there is an invisible wall stopping me. From certain angles, I can see that there is a mountain texture suspended in the air like a sheet - it looks like this is creating an invisible wall.

Is there any way to get round this, as it is preventing me completing the quest?

Haven't got this quest yet myself, but the http://fallout.wikia.com/ is always good for checking things if you're stuck.

Problem is, from what I can tell I know how to complete the quest. Only issue is that I can't get around the glitch to get to the cave.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I got stuck fast inside a giant rock just under the entrance, had to reload my last save.

Very annoying.

Go around by the river, there is a path up to it. Look out for big rocks.

I'll try that - thanks a lot.

I'm not seeing the path. There seem to be loads of areas where clipping prevents me climbing up or down from a rock.

Is there a specific route that overcomes the glitches? I've gone down to the lake/rive and then searched around for a path and aside from the main road I can't see one. Where abouts is it compared to Bitter Springs (N W S E)?

Might actually be best to avoid this quest for a while.
The path has a tendency to teleport you into the heart of a rock, i.e. , inside it(then you're stuck).

Thanks for all the help.

Managed to overcome the issues in the end by "crabbing" around the mountainside from the Great Kahan Supply Cave to the North East of this one. Did get trapped a few times, but it's OK now.

There is a massive glitch if you approach the cave from above, though. There is a whole sheet of rock that appears over the cave and it's possible to get trapped under it.

Yep, that's what happened me. Was very annoying as I hadn't saved in 15 minutes.
