I mean, I guess I wouldn't be opposed to the idea, but I wouldn't see the point. Bullets are fast enough already to kill an enemy (radiation takes time), and not to mention a lot of our enemies are mutants and ghouls, who are already irradiated themselves.

Hmm, yeah - any level of radiation high enough to hurt someone quickly.... would also be radioactive enough that you wouldn't want to carry them in your pocket for long. :D

...and now I go thinking about lead-lined magazines/etc, so that you could use the things moderately safely.

Depleated Uranium as an ultra rare round, sure.

Polonium on steroids, no thanks.

Not entirely true. There are 3 types of radiation. Gamma, Beta, and Alpha (X is included with Gamma, typically). Alpha radiation can be just as deadly as gamma radiation but it cannot penetrate the skin. Thus, if you shot out bullets made of an element that emits alpha radiation you could infect someone with radiation without harming yourself. As for practicality...well radioactive elements aren't easy to make and usually exist in nature far below sea level. Soooo....I don't think our wastelander will find enough to make bullets. The elements we're talking about are Radon or Uranium (interesting fact: the fuel, uranium, that exists in nuclear reactors is not harmful even at short distances unless its being used). Thorium is another one I know of as well. There are others but...as I said, nothing that our vault dweller could easily get his hands on.

Oh and another interesting fact because Fallout is completely wrong...Nuclear reactors are not filled with green water. The green theme that Fallout has been using comes from radioactive dishes/glassware which was created when we didn't understand radiation enough to know that sipping a drink out of a radioactive cup isn't healthy (yes, people did this before) that appears green. This wan't overly dangerous for people but it is now known to cause an increased risk of cancer. Anyways, these glasses were advertised and caused the common misconception that radioactivity is green. Nuclear reactors are a blueish color and are filled with de-ionized water (you could swim in a nuclear reactor if it wasn't running and interestingly enough you could drop your phone in it and it would still work because the water is deionized)
