I put this into a quest script:
if BabyDBlackREF.isanimplaying FastForward showmessage genericdebugmsgendif
and I get hits on that message when it seems like fastforward cannot be playing. Like, it's standing next to me and turning a bit. Or, sometimes I can see that "forward" is playing, as opposed with fastforward... stuff like that.
Anyone have any insight into this?
