Isn't it amazing how many old members there are on this foru

I think I remember Rogugh when he had his... vampire... something-or-another avatar. Like some western cowboy vampire killer... or... something along those lines. But that was back when I read the forum for maybe a day and lost interest. Way back in olden days.

Edit: Darkwatch was what it was. Whoever the main character is.

Also, Gstaff has been around for a little bit longer than anyone. :P Talk to him about being an old timer.

Gstaff came after Oblivions release and prior to Fallouts release. He was a welcome addition. Prior to that we had no community manager.

Best forum I've ever been on, i stick around cause the community is actually pretty smart and the moderators do a good job of keeping the idiots from staying too long.

5 years and counting, hope to be here for a lot longer.

I was just joking about his 'join date' which cites the year 1970. :P

This is a nice place to read when boredom sets in. Since boredom will not ever vanish, neither will this place!

The posting of the gameplay trailer nearly did that already, so I think you're right. :P

I barely post anymore, and find myself visiting less and less. This forum got boring as hell.

I never leave, I step out to 6 months at a time but I always come back home. It's a comfortable family like forum. Been here since 05, or six, something like that, oh, and I have less then 10000 posts so I'm not a spammer, yay.

We're... allowed to leave? I... I thought that was impossible. What about the corpses of the ones who tried? The moderators collect them I hear, for untold purposes - perhaps even making new mods :o

I stay because this is the best community I have ever seen in a public forum of a big company. That, and TES.

Love you guys :)

It's all been said, and I agree with it all.

Good members, moderators, etc. It's the best damn site on the net as far as I am concerned. (In those regards.) Though I do have to agree with Holycannoli a bit, it's not quite the same forum it once was back when i joined. (Membership has also gone through the roof since then.) Some of that good, but some bad.

As much as I railed against the politics/religion ban, I've since decided I now agree with the decision. Some folks just can't hold their water when it comes to those topics. (And it only takes one to degrade a topic fast. P.S. I may guilty myself.) I like this place too much for that crap. The bad, is they were some of the more interesting threads here. Seems thread quality (or quantity of quality) took a nose dive and it is/was just the same old crap re-posted time and time again. Now it's just somewhere in the middle.

Haven't seen Hungry Donner pipe up in here yet. He's like Methuselah or somebody. He's been here since the Y2K insanity.

Lately, the Minecraft thread keeps me here. Otherwise I wouldn't be seen as frequently as I am.

Saurok, you're definitely an old member. i consider myself sort of old, not really. You are though. And yeah, some people can't handle politics and religion, but I think the mods should allow controlled, intelligent conversations about topics to go on as long as they don't spiral out of control.

Trust me, you think it would be "intelligent, controlled", but those two topics just bring out the worst in people... and make a crap-ton of work for the moderators. This is a gaming forum after all, and although the CD is more of a general interest zone, it's still a place meant for people who like to talk about games, pop culture, etc. There are plenty of forums for Srs Bznss topics.

I like the fact that there are so many people that stay around for a while. I think it's because we kind of bond with each other, I mean on forums where all the newbs rush in (like the Skyrim forum) its just constant posting about random and unimportant things. However in the more laid back forums like the fanfiction forums and community discussion people get to know each other and become friends. I for one have developed a ton of good friendships over the past 6 months from getting in with the Modding community and the fanfiction community.

Another thing that I seem to have noticed is the newer members try and just spam and rack up their post count rather than actually post on interesting things and stay in the topic to discuss it. For instance I saw a member the other day that joined last month and had 2,100 posts.....I've been here since 2008 and I just got over 2000 this month.

EDIT: Btw, I lol'd so hard at that 11.11.11 pic
