Isn't anyone making normal mods for Oblivion anymore?

Post » Mon Oct 03, 2011 4:49 pm

I just looked at the top 25 most endorsed recent files (past 21 days) on TESNexus and despaired.

19 of those 25 are eyecandy mods! 12 are sixy female armors. Of those 12, 9 are pedo-outfits modeled for little girls! In addition, there's 1 cute female outfit, 2 race mods that add sixy women, 1 set of sixy BBB (you probably won't be shocked to learn that means Better Bouncing briasts) animations, 1 set of cute female hair styles, and 1 set of sixy female companions. Oh, and Roberts Male body (boy does that one stand out).

1 isn't even a mod, it's all the vanilla books in e-reader format (not that I'm complaining, considering the alternatives).

Seriously there are only 5 mods that qualify as normal. 3 house mods, 1 map marker mod for quest dungeons, and a (admittedly really nice) high rez flora texture replacer.

Now don't get me wrong, I know there are still some fantastic, deep, rewarding quality mods being worked on and released (DLL, FCOM, SDR, UV, anything by Arthmoor and Duke Patrick, just to name a tiny fraction), but you'd never know about them unless you regularly browse these forums like I do. But I am the only one who feels that a large part of the Oblivion modding scene seems to collapsed into a sinkhole of self-gratifying perverse sixual lust, and that it's taken over TESNexus? (seriously, dozens of pedo-outfits for little girls getting dozens of endorsemants each!)

One person's normal is another person's abnormal. It's called taste.

Yeah, I don't like the taste of these modders, is what I'm saying.

In moderation these kinds of mods are alright (I use both Robert's bodies (with underwear)) but the mainstream oblivion modding scene seems to be becoming obsessed with them. I don't think this is healthy (especially the disturbingly popular lolicon mods). I made this thread because I am hoping I am not alone in these beliefs.

I never really paid attention to it, until you pointed it out.... Yeah, some of those mods border on the unacceptable line. (to me, at least....)

Someone else posted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTGh0EMmMC8, don't even remember where.... but, yeah. This.

Some of those mods on the "hot list" are indeed disturbing..... why would someone take young girls adventuring?????
