isn't this game so hard ?

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 3:33 pm

I am playing this game on pc. this game is crazy hard when my team is all random newbie or the opponent team is pros. I can ruin the whole opponent team alone when I play black ops or crysis 2 but in this game, it is impossible to win the game and kill enemies if your team svcks. the opponent team knows everything everywhere and they will keep the way perfectly and all your team will keep going that same way and dying for10 mins. even if you are the real fps pro gamer, you can't win the game becuz they are waiting and shotting you in front of your face everytime when you spawn.

I thought this game is very easy and simple and short. I am very disappointed..

Just a few select quotes that show you don't know what you're doing.

Brink is about TEAMWORK. If your team is bad, you're going to be struggling - you need friendly health/armour/damage/ammo buffs to compete against a coordinated team. But more importantly, you need ALLIES YOU CAN COUNT ON. Find friends who play, or make friends with people you meet in-game (but only the ones who are actually helpful).

If you're great at other shooters, there's still a bit of a learning curve, because Brink handles very differently from most recent FPS games. You can't solo an enemy team unless you're a well-buffed Heavy, or a really good AND well-buffed Light/Medium.

You just said the game is "crazy hard" and then at the end say "very easy".

For a new level one character the game is easy.

For a maxed out level twenty character the game is impossible.

Really? You're disappointed that the game is a challenge?

Did you actually read the post, or did you skim through it choose certain words to make your reply? He thought it was very easy.

Yes, I did read the post. He stated it's hard to win with a team element if you're with a sub-par team, and he can't one-man-army the other team like other FPS. Thanks.

This game isnt "crazy hard". Or "very easy". It's Brink. It's different. It's new.

And FYI, level 20 matches are cake. The only people level 20 right now are fatties (heavies) or mediums, and with a light engineer/operative, I wreck them. Even with an all bot team, I can usually pull a win, offending or defending. The only real tough levels with bot teamates are the offending ones, specifically shipyard, reactor, and security tower.

The difference between Brink and other generic shooters is MOVEMENT with shooting. Most snipers in other games require you to be still. Most games your accuracy is very jumpy when moving, and better when you slow down. In Brink, if you can move, aim, and shoot together, you win. It's not like COD, where the first person to drop-shot with an m16a3 wins. It's not like halo, which restricts your movement. It's Mirrors Edge + Halo + COD + Team Fortress 2 + Left 4 Dead. Probably even more.

Learning the maps and strategy can wreck a team that functions well together, but do not know the map and gameplay as well as you. Consider left 4 dead, for this example. But, a team that functions well usually wrecks players who havent learnt the strategies as well yet, but are very accurate and very deadly solo players. And great solo players wreck newbs. This is the way of Brink.

Maps/Strategy > Functioning Team > Solo Players > Newbs

Still, if your team is bad then there really isn't much use in teamwork.

I'm actually curious - are you saying to tap the jump button (which makes you jump, or vaults you over obstacles without slowing the way holding the SMART button does) or the crouch button (which lets you slide, which is faster than normal sprint speed, gets you under obstacles, and knocks enemies down, but slows you when you come out of it)?
