I've done this quest a couple times before, never had an issue so i'm not sure if the recent patches are involved (so far they've worked fine for me.) I'm told to go to nipton to speak with boxcars about the radiation suits, when I enter the store he's suddenly wearing a different outfit than before, and the only dialogue option I have with him is "I have to go".

Any information would be appreciated.

Have you talked to him before and did you give him Med-X? This breaks the Wheel of Fortune quest sometimes (see also:http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Boxcars).

I spoke with him when I entered nipton and gave him 3 med-x. This is what I've done every time I've played NV, it's never been an issue before.

As I said, it has been known to break the quest sometimes. I have no idea why though, sorry. Completing Booted before completing Wheel of Fortune might cause Boxcars to lose all his dialogue options too.

Well I guess I should be able to just go on with the game then. Fighting my compulsive need to start over just to redo that quest because god forbid there be LOOT UNLOOTED...
