C2 issues + community contact

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 11:07 pm

Thank you Cry-Adam for letting us know the issues are being worked on. The community has been coming unglued due to the lack of response. That is probably the main issue everyone here has. Your right that there are way too many posts. That is why I am shocked at the lack of moderating. The amount of threads on the same subject is rediculous and has created an evironment where people wont sift to find their answers which in turn causes them to post another message which in turn angers the community even more. What we have is a catalyst that is brewing and it keeps getting more volatile as the posts keep coming. I would hope that someone with Crytek might take notice and get a moderator to reign it in a little bit.

Can you imagine what would happen if some company like BMW for example, release the car which some times starts and sometimes do not?

We - the players are not some mindless people and we deserve respect.

I expect from game, which I am buying that I will be able to play it, the same as I expect that car, which I am buying will be able to start after I buy it.

.

Microsoft released windows 98ME, and Vista... so having issues on launch isnt anything new, get over it.

WTF?? respect? you sound like an abused girlfriend... stop using forums to cry on... this is effecting you too much!

Woaah people relax! You all keep blaming the Crytek team like its all their fault.

You think they want to kill a game they worked so hard on all this time?

As a game design student I know how hard it is to fix bugs in games, and that a massive part of game development is bug fixing. There will have been a **** load of bugs in this game you guys will never know about because they spent so long ironing them out.

The reason these bugs are left in is most likely the publisher not Crytek. They probably pushed for a premature release which I'm sure Crytek didn't want.

The publisher want to get the game out quick to make money, and to shut up the rants of the game fans who want it now now now all the time.

I'm as frustrated as you lot but, seriously , send it to the publishers not Crytek, the longer Crytek spend replying to you, the less time they spend fixing.

Yes sire. That's how it works. If someone treats you like a piece of **** (as in, release a game when you're aware is has a deal-breaking bug >> it was already there in the demo) you start hating them.

Mind you, I hold no grudge against this bit of humor.

We've been noticing some complaints about not being in touch with the community in regards to current issues with Crysis 2 and the purpose of this thread is to assure that we are working hard on resolving these issues as quickly as possible.

I'm glad to hear that Crytek staff are at least noticing the complaints, but so far we haven't seen anything from you regarding fixes.
The players who took part in the beta and demo, are seeing the exact same issues in the final (+ patch) version. To me that means you haven't actually fixed any of these issues in the last 2-3 months.
It seems the only hard work you've all been doing is watching the sales come in.

The reason it appears as though we're not keeping in touch is...

Thats a lame ass excuse and you know it.
It's not the players fault that nobody from Crytek has setup a bug reporting system.
The majority of your customers are extremely annoyed with all the faults in the game, many still cannot even login, and so far you have done next to nothing about it.

It doesn't even seem like you guys are doing anything to actually fix faults, and by keeping a low profile (almost avoiding the forums here and Steam forums) it seems you don't care about your current customers, you all must be just counting the $$$ coming in.

At the very least create a stickied thread with a list of all known issues, and let your players add to the list.
Then prioritize that list having login issues, connection issues at the top.
Then get your developers to fix the highest priority issues until there are none left and then get them working on other issues like ranked servers not starting.

Also between yourselves and your server providers fix the servers, so they are more stable.

Thanks for the upate. If people need to know what is being said by the Mods they can click on a mods profile and view their recent posts. You would then see your answer and wouldn't have to make a new post.

It works just fine on my computer. I have no bugs in single player (although the lack of dx11 was dissapointing (it will happen though)) as for multiplayer, I havent tried yet, but there is plenty more to do in single player. Also, its not like they aren't going to fix the problems.

Well I'm really happy for you, but I bought the game for the MP. And it didn't have an exclaimer saying "Dear customers, MP is currently broken. Only buy if you're interested in the single-player campaign", did it?

Is it a Joke? Comparing OS with a game is at least ridiculous. In case of OS they have to bother of million possible applications which have to work properly. And since I bought WIN7 it has been working without a glitch so far. Crysis 2 multiplayer worked (at least a bit) yesterday and today it is not working at all. Did you have such problems with any Windows? I bet you did not. We are not talking about some minor bugs (like freezed sound of a shoting gun i Crysis 1) but about a serious major problem of working multiplayer.

So plese do not patronize me!

Just a quick note to all you who say we should calm down. Dead Space 2 multiplayer has the same issues, some people can't log in, all people keep getting disconnected for no apparent reason. Nothing has been done about it since the release, it is still as broken as it was on day one. It just makes you think it might be Electronic Arts who **** up. All I'm saying is I'm having a bad deja-vu and ffs I hope it will be different this time around.

what important are, we paid for full version and is this full version already ?

about who our complaint destination...i think doesn't matter they can comunicate each other...
u got flawed product, doesn't matter who u complaint to..the manufacturer or the distributor...the assumption we dunno whose fault technically yet...the publisher or developer...

Yea, I would have added a list of commonly asked questions w/ answers.
I.e. when / if DX11 is coming, whats up with the restricted console, etc.

I'm just taking a wild swing here, but my guess is that EA pushed for the release (already been speculated, I know), and crytek cant tell us that for obvious reasons

I still support you Crytek. There's just a lot of stupid haters and trolls around here with ignorance.

People, Crysis 2 was not done because EA didn't give Crytek enough time, END OF STORY. That's why we have patches and updates, now STFU, and go svck some dike you idiot ignorant bastards.

I cannot log into Crysis 2 with my gamesas account
This is a known issue that is currently being investigated, when there is a fix to it we will update this post with the correct link.

Not too much to f work with is it? Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong f sticky? It f worked yesterday and somehow it doesn't work now. So I suppose it's my f fault I turned the computer off for the night?

Hi everyone,

We've been noticing some complaints about not being in touch with the community in regards to current issues with Crysis 2 and the purpose of this thread is to assure that we are working hard on resolving these issues as quickly as possible.

The reason it appears as though we're not keeping in touch is we reply to 1 thread and another 50 threads get put up straight afterwards. It is not humanly possible for us to post in even half of the threads that are being created, let alone most/all of them. To give an indication on how quickly threads are buried, this forum was created 4 days ago and there's now 1600+ threads and 12000+ posts. This amount of activity is great but it makes it difficult to communicate everything without having 20 stickies in each forum.

Please remain patient while we resolve these issues, we know a lot of you are very eager to jump in and play some games and we don't want to stop you from doing that at all. As soon as we've got any information we'll let you know via announcements, as always.
gonna call BS on this, sorry. But having watche dthe forums for multiple hours on release day and subsequent days they aren't THAT active. if i can follow half a dozen relevant threads at once theres no reason your team can't do likewise. Thats half a dozen persistent threads about serious PC issues, as well as general feedback, concern threads. i've followed all of them and kept a grasp of what the major concerns/issues/complaints/praises have been. The ago old exscuse of "too many threads for us to reply to" doesn't hold water with me (at least) from any developer anymore. its a cop out exscuse thats utterly transparent to anyone who checks the forum at regular intervals.

No bugs in singleplayer? You must be playing a different release than me. The enemy AI is atrocious. They often walk in circles and into walls. I've shot AI in the head only to notice the AI standing next to him turn around and casually walk away. I've seen AI walking in the air on multiple occasions and sort of sliding around on surfaces when they walk. It's laughable. This is all on the hardest difficulty setting. Based on what I've seen I can only imagine what lower settings must be like. Honestly, if the AI can't be fixed then just re-name the game to 'Crysis 2 - Circus Clowns Edition' and just program the AI to randomly run around with their hands waving above their heads. At least in that case I'll know I'm not suppose to take them seriously.
