Answer 1: They didn't patch the release version because when they put out the demo they game was already in production and being shipped to the warehouse for distribution to stores. There is no way to patch a disc thats already in the store waiting for the date. They had no choice but to patch it the first day.

Answer 2: The servers were patched yesterday but they now crash and restart instead of just bugging out.

Answer 3: You have no one to blame for the limitedness of this client except for all those that pirate the game and not buy it. Just like what is now happening except that those that are playing non legit games are now playing with hacks because they dont care and just want to ruin the people who did pay for its experience online. The leaderboards are now screwed up and we can tell there are servers with an SSM to modify scores and get the kds they have.

Answer 4: What were you getting at?

Graphics-wise I was surprised just how well the game ran on PC. It's definitely the best, non-stop gameplay experience I've ever had! I did notice a couple of bugs, however. For one, you can't always pick up a JAW -- sometimes it will completely forget how much ammo you have for it and lock you out of picking up more, even if you have expended your supply...

I have seen this on other weapons throughout the game in places, but it's mainly that and I suspect there are placeholders for the weapon, but someone's forgotten to add a trigger to those areas.

Another thing I noticed was the running of the "Tunguska Custcene", giving me choppy audio. Thankfully it's the only one that seems to experience it, but it even happens outside of gameplay in the Unlocks area as well. This could mean the movie itself (even on the DVD) is broken.

irrelevant. every game publisher thus far have provided.. decent anti piracy technology. this game is obviously lacking in multiplayer security, let alone sp. you cant justify changing a product because some people are stealing it without telling them.

I have done all the claim "fixes" for PC users problem in logging on to Multi Player. Yes still I am unable to log on, although I agree with everyone's frustrations. I would like the Crytek Community to report on the findings of this problems other than flood their News pages with "9/10 Game rating" and other false pretenses. It is clear that this problem are still not solved and the longer it drags, there more dissatisfied consumers will arise due to constant sales of the game.

It is clear that something went wrong in the production pipeline however, something must be done to appease the out cry of your what I can clearly say Previous Fans.

Guys stop scolding the developers I am confident that the work on a patch is in full swing! In my opinion not a lot of problems, especially in single (AI cheat problem with the sound and nano catalysts), with a harder multiplayer patch does not solve all the problems! The developers gave us a great game with great gameplay, and all those who cry probably did not buy at one time CoD: BO's where was a nightmare ... in the early days at the ugliness of it was impossible to play even on powerful computers, and lags were even on the channels 100MB \ S

Crysis 2 EADM 100% Download Stuck Problem Error SIMPLEST SOLUTION

FIX

Now on third attempt at download based on the input by other forum members i

allowed the download to continue beyond the limit set by EADM and i frequently

kept checking the file size of the "Crysis 2 Limited Edition" folder within

Electronic Arts folder which is within Program Files x86 on C:.

Surely enough there was a gap of 3 GB between the downloaded figures of

EADM and the folder in Explorer. So ignore the EADM figures, when it reaches

100% it is not 100% but less, so let it download and keep checking the folder

size every 15 minutes. When it reaches over 9.2 GB (in windows explorer not

EADM), then you are nearing completion.

Another important thing to do once the EADM download starts showing 100% is

to execute the Crysis 2 Patch(http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=13347), if you do it any other time it will tell you to

redownload the game which sux. So if you run the patch when EADM is on 100%

then it works, the patch exe finds the crysis core exe and updates successfully.

Finally a few hours later your EADM Crysis 2 status will turn to Finalizing instead

of Downloading. That means you are near the end. Unfortunately for me the

status has again changed to 100% Downloading after i restarted EADM

(because it suddenly showed "this account has no games" which scared the ****

out of me, at least Crysis 1 was downloaded and playing. So anyway, what you

need to also know is that there are 4 files in the EA folder apart from the 3

folders of Crysis 2, Crysis 1 and EADM. Of these 4 files one file is the temporary

download file, it keeps downloading 1/4 MB files (250 KB) and then keeps saving

them to the required files in Crysis 2 folder (hence size keeps increasing). So if

you open the EA folder and keep looking at it, you will notice the file size of this

file keeps going from 250 to 0 KB and then back to 250, it is not an error, this file

is like a torrent packet. Anyway, im still not fixed, as it is again back to 100%

download, so this fix in a way is no fix but i still think it is educational enough to

read. Well, thank you for reading.

2 hacks observed. They seem to stick to pro mode matches.
1: invisible. No cloak halo around Player. They do not decloak when shooting.
2: shoot headshots when player is hiding in corner. Kill players anywhere on the map.

Cmon u saw this crap with fear and punkbuster. Question is, will this be fixed? In fear they didnt. = all servers dead. Plz guys. High priority

Guys. Please post in other threads if non constructive.
Take a second and think, if you keep spamming this thread with useless information how is Crytek or a rep suppose to find what issues we are experiencing. Put yourself just for 20 seconds in their shoes. Look at this thread. Will you read every single post? Or will you see a trend of people posting useless information and then start skipping posts? Resulting in critical information being missed.

Please guys. For the sake of this game and the community, can we keep atleast 1 thread constructive.

I'm having the following issues. I have updated to v1.1

1. Sound clipping issues during cutscenes between levels.
2. On one occasion the game got stuck between loading a level.
3. Occasionally the game gets stuck (the audio plays, the video freezes).

I'm yet to finish the game and only halfway through.

People expect quite alot from Crytek, sure they may have brought out a game with alot of announced features missing/broken, This isn't the first time a developer has done such a thing, Indirectly the fault of this is more likely to lie with the fact that the gaming community is spread across 3 platforms, and in order for companies to survive nowadays they need to look at all options, thus Crysis had to become multiplatform, does it svck for the PC community? yeah.

Companies go where the money is, and most of the people out there trying to promote Returning or Trading your copies aren't really solving anything, you may think your boycutting but your only adding to your/the problem, As for the people out there feeling hurt by Crytek's choices, it seems to me like most are treating Crytek like a father who promised to take you somewhere but showed up a couple of hours late, Companies will be Companies, if you really want to fix your problem in the future, start convincing the console gamers to return/trade their copies instead.

The DirectX11 thing doesn't surprise me at all, but the inherent problems with servers crashing, failed logins with gamesas accounts, and this mess that is IGN/Gamespy/gamesas is something that really should have been dealt with.

On another note, the friends list does seem to be working (I've watched a friend who's account is working use it and it's been showing to be pretty decent.)

Good Game Crytek!
I would remind you that this is a community forum, therefore would you moderate your use of harsh language, Clearly going multi platform has indeed been a task for Crytek, but im sure they have done, and will continue to do all that is possible to get things running smooth, harsh language, and some of the more arrogant statemants that i have also seen, have solved absolutely nothing at all.

Some PC gamers, tend to look down at console gamers as inferior, but may i just point this out.
Feedback on the Eggbox Beta went quite well, However, Feedback from the PC Demo, was a complete and utter disaster, PC gamers flamed the General forum posting all over it and creating a multitude of duplicate threads, or didnt even look for a suitable thread to post in.

this practicaly brought the forum to a standstill, with the mass of postering, so I have to ask, can we PC gamers show that we are indeed a reasonable part of this community, and start to behave. this is not aimed at all PC gamers, just the minority who cause the majority of site problems.

You've got to be kidding me.
It's not a time for a "jokes" like that - people here paid money for product of which half does not work at all (multiplayer) and other half is bugged (flickering, AI, too long list to write it here).

So stay quiet if you have nothing constructive to add.

I clearly remember back in 2007 when Crysis was published. It was possible to modify the power of the weapons in MultiPlayer by setting some numbers in the .xml file without being noticed. It was possible to blow a truck with the pistol in a single shot! (without any hack or cheat, only xml config!) PunkBuster was not active in the initial release either similar to Crysis 2. We waited the first patch for almost 2 months. I think that CryTek doing it intentionally!

It's a commonly known fact that you're more likely to bump into a prick in an online PC game than the nice sort. If that statement shocks you, and you feel that you need to reply in some sort of rude statement, then I'm sorry to say, but you aren't one of the nice guys.

Of course....who can forget it....!

Never see and ban so much Cheater as in Crysis or Wars!

That was the Reason that killed the Game....and the closed Support of Crysis 1 after few months too!

Poor Crytek, shame on you........i not forget that!

And now it seems that they done it again.....i read much about Cheater and invalid keys similar to Crysis 1 and later WARS!

But what me prevent from MP gaming is that Ranks and achievements are not saved......i not try any Game cause i read this.

Anyway the Singleplayer is good (except the Graphics (no dx 11)) and the Sound and Music is very good....hope the bugs and other Issues get a fix soon.

Hello , I would realy like if coul dbe possible to Create a Question Thread to the developers where we coul dmake questions on the actual decisions taken on where to bring the series ... you know little unharming questions like , Why remake the nanosuit to why delete the old aliens and replace with those new ones , why the change to multiplayer gameplay in favour of a more CODE like structure and where where taken the ideas that the community would like those changes more?
