It's already too easy to just grab someone as they turn around during general combat, despite them knowing you are there.

Gaming community if patch is ready right around time of launch: WHY WOULD THEY SHIP SUCH A BROKEN GAME?

Gaming community if patch is a few weeks out of launch: WHY WOULD THEY WAIT THIS LONG TO PATCH?

Gaming community if given chocolate icecream: OMG VANILLA IS SO MUCH MORE VERSATILE

Gaming community if given vanilla icecream: STUPID DEVS, CHOCOLATE IS THE SUPERIOR ICECREAM

gaming community BUYS vanilla ice cream: given rainbow sherbert and asked to wait an undisclosed time for the actual vanilla ice cream we paid for and expected over the course of the "ice creams" dev.

seriously, you **** should get paid by ea. only an idiot would defend a global bait and switch lol

Naw, the reaction from every community is always pretty much the same, doesn't matter what game it is. That's why I said gaming community. Every forum that I've poked around in, looked at, and realized that there's always 50 posts that say the same ****, I look some more, and I then leave, chuckling to myself: I've seen this before.

Sorry , actually there are things to smile about,

The game is awesome its one,
The game haves some bugs, and they will be fixed , that is another,
The game haves bugs , what game haves no bugs upon release??? that is another.
Patches take time, and the guy came here to tell you that they are aware of those fixes that the game needs
and ask politely to us to be patient. that is another.

I finished the game once and I am still in shock, on how good the story is, on how fantastic the graphics are, on how awesome NY city looks, on how powerful is the new suit, so I have started a new campaign so that I can enjoy it slower now and taste the awesome game it really is.

Sure it has some bugs. we can see some guys on the air, and the nano suit upgrade doesn't work , but soon this will be fixed, we just have to be patient as he asks and we will see this fixed.

I do not see any reason on your lack of education and your out called post.

lol at all the people calling one another a troll in here.
why shouldnt we be pist? hackers in mp?(id pst a hackers name in here but its against forum policies ohhhhh no) people cant play mp? if you have duel video cards (sli or xfire) you gotta rename your file? gamespy powers mp.
Why cant you vote to kick someone out of a game? Why cant i send a message to someone via mp on my friends list? (maybe ask AOL for some code)
The graphic difference from console to pc is slight and consoles are how many years out dated?
crytec hope you guys learned something. Maybe rush games for consoles, but wait on the pc verson till its finished. Go take some notes from one of the best publishers in the pc comunity. BLIZZARD. ill even put a link here for your d.s. devo team http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/
Maybe someday you guys will be half the team they are. They dont rush and listen to the community. I understand you guys are probably understaffed and the few there are enjoying the money from the game and taking a vacation for being rushed to finish an unfinished game. good luck to your team but you have lost one buyer for the next game that has crytec involved and even if it uses the crytec engine witch i now know is a console engine.

go ahead troll my spelling wtf ever. i was rushed ea didnt want me to troll harder and take over 2 minutes.

Crytek admins -

Many of us aren't asking you to reply to individual threads. A daily sticky/announcement with a small update would be greatly appreciated; and would make sure most of us can have a quick daily glance to get an update without having to stalk the entire forum to find crytek mod updates.

..you're fuelling the multiple threads and trolling by having lousy communication.

I'm frustrated because I can't even play the game (flicker issue on HD5970), and I see no real progress on these forums, I don't want to read through endless threads; just the ONE announcment and I can get on with other stuff while you do your thing.

Hi everyone,

To give an indication on how quickly threads are buried, this forum was created 4 days ago and there's now 1600+ threads and 12000+ posts. This amount of activity is great but it makes it difficult to communicate everything without having 20 stickies in each forum.

1. I'm not paid to look at these forums, I have a job for 9 hours a day and I get to play games about 2 hours on certain afternoons. You are paid to look at these forums.
Why do I know that the number one thing the community wants to know about is DX11 and you're feigning ignorance, pretending the subject just got "buried".

2. If you need twenty stickies in a forum, put twenty stickies in a forum.

3. The game is good, but we expected it to be great. Give us a reason to believe it's going to be great.

Hi everyone,

We've been noticing some complaints about not being in touch with the community in regards to current issues with Crysis 2 and the purpose of this thread is to assure that we are working hard on resolving these issues as quickly as possible.

The reason it appears as though we're not keeping in touch is we reply to 1 thread and another 50 threads get put up straight afterwards. It is not humanly possible for us to post in even half of the threads that are being created, let alone most/all of them. To give an indication on how quickly threads are buried, this forum was created 4 days ago and there's now 1600+ threads and 12000+ posts. This amount of activity is great but it makes it difficult to communicate everything without having 20 stickies in each forum.

Please remain patient while we resolve these issues, we know a lot of you are very eager to jump in and play some games and we don't want to stop you from doing that at all. As soon as we've got any information we'll let you know via announcements, as always.
The solution is simple!
Update the thread "Crysis 2 PC fixes & info" to include every single problem so people know that you are aware of the problem and what you intend to do about it.

Here, Here! You are sooooo correct, MayDay! Keeping us informed would set Crytek/MyCrisis apart from the rest of the schmos that sell software before it's working.

1. Crysis has set a higher standard in gaming. Crysis (Crytek) must now live up to that standard!
2. Doing so will also decrease the number of repeat gripes (or at least organize them in a way that the devs can better tell if they are getting the thing fixed, cause obviously alpha testing did not.)

Why does everyone even want DX11, the game looks awsome in DX9! DX10 and 11 only slow down the PC so for me no reason to add that. Make hurry to fix the MP and also ban cheaters... thats far more important to me!

Why can't you respect your clients who have decided to buy your game and release the game which works properly in the day of premiere?

The problems with joining multiplayer game (endless waiting for game start) were clearly visible in demo released almost 1 month ago. Wasn't it enough time to find solution?

Can you imagine what would happen if some company like BMW for example, release the car which some times starts and sometimes do not?

We - the players are not some mindless people and we deserve respect.

I expect from game, which I am buying that I will be able to play it, the same as I expect that car, which I am buying will be able to start after I buy it.

Why is it so hard to understand?

I am glad you are trying to work out the problem,s but do not expect me to be greatful about that, because it should be done before the game was released.

He covered every single thing you said in your post at the start of the thread. Give THEM some respect. You're just making a fool of yourself. I mean, you really asked them "Why is it so hard to understand?" As if, they had no clue about what you were talking about. You're the one with no clue.

there's nothing to smile about.
Removed the smile, sorry.

Exactly. If stickies are needed, then just use them. I'd be happier seeing the first page of a forum section covered in stickies that helped people fix issues and wouldn't mind having to go to page 2 to see the non stickied threads as at least that way people would know and be able to see that things were getting fixed and dealt with.

Anything would be better than the current train wreck of a communications policy (and this godawful piece of garbage forum) that Crytek is currently using.

Of course any information that we have is made easily available... the purpose of this thread was to reassure people that even though it appears as though we're not communicating with the community, that is simply not true, it just appears that way because there are hundreds of threads created daily and our posts in individuals threads are quickly buried.

One step we've taken towards this is now admin posts are visually separated from the rest so that our posts can be found more easily. We're also working towards a method to see which threads we've posted in.

the lack of communication isn't imo about the forums.

you should post on the front page news about fixes. directx, melee, matchmaking, lobbies, SP progression. all broken and stopping me from playing the game.

we pc gamers feel that crytek ripped us off, and at the same time blames US for piracy, when we BOUGHT your game. there are console pirates too, and will always be. that doesn't give you the right to give PC gamers the short end.

you designed this game far simpler than promised, without promised features - and still count make that work. it is infuriating because i wanted to play this for soo long.

Adam, I will be the first to admit I have been a pain in the ass posting in multiple locations to grab your attention... so instead of biching.. lets realistically come to the table. I am sure it would be more in everyones favor if you keep one sticky where you lock it to only your posts by Cry people and keep us updated on comments and responses daily if not more. That way we can see your visibility, you don't get buried and if people MUST rant then they can create the trail of posts as a new topic. This is a common practice off many sites and should best contain the issue your having now. Secondly, I don't know if your blocked by PR or legal or whatever, but honestly someone realistically needs to put out a statement saying "Its **** up, our bad, here is what exactly is broken and here is what we are doing about it." Of course in the most business professional manner possible. A great example where community is 1-on-1 with its developers is (http://apbreloaded.blogspot.com/) where they are honest and in the end the community is a LOT more forgiving.

Then use your admin powers and actually update threads.

There's been no word on the 'check network connection' bug at all, so how are we supposed to know you're doing anything about it?

Take 30 seconds to click 'edit post' and put some info in a sticky for gods sake, it isn't difficult and it won't detract from your reading time.
