ISSUES CONNECTING 2 SOLO CRASH SITE MULTIPLAYER 05 18, 2011 /04:57


Yesterday I sat in the solo crash site lobby for over 17 minutes and nothing. This issue has been going on for at least 3 days now. I downloaded the new DLC also yesterday and same problem trying to get into crash site games that are solo. Only way I can get to play online multiplayer crash site game is when I select standard as a perimeter. Problem is I do not want to play with clans. Is this an issue with anyone else? Lagging and host problems are bad enough now it is almost impossible to get to play certain online game types. Does Crytec/EA monitor these game types and understand the many fustration about online play that might be eliminated if they get a dedicated server for all platforms online. Seems easy fix to me.

Dude dont waste your time trying to find any games modes anywhere except standard. No one playes the other modes

good point, the DLC cannot be played SOLO. Unless of course you play IA.

Here is the problem. There are too many Playlist and not enough players to fill them. Next, we do know who are in each Playlist at any giving time. I have written many post asking them to reduce unpopular Playlist, but no answer. We already have other issues with the game, but Crytek is not being proactive. I am guessing there are less than 7000 players playing at a time. My biggest problem is that Cry-Tom, the community manager, does not play this game or he was fired. It's been 100 days sense he posted on his tweeter account. Cry-Adam is the only communication when it takes a team to keep the community alive. I like the game, but I am getting weird feeling that Crytek has moved on to another project, and leaving this one unfinished.

A correction to your post- the new DLC: Retaliation Onslaught (which includes crash site, capture the relay, and extraction) does have 4 modifiers: New Recruits, Standard, Fast Rounds, and Solo.
My point is there is something wrong with the matching up of these game types. I would like to be able to play all modifiers and game types without having to wait more than 3-5 min. and 17 minutes with not even a match started is way too long.

Yea this seems a more plausible reason about having too many game types. I really enjoy online play and wish that Crytec would be more proactive as you stated. I am still optimistic that Crytec will address all the kinks in a game that could be one of the ten top games of 2011 if not the top.

At this point, it is dream for what you are saying. Until Crytek drops some playlist, and change the recruitment levels, other players are locked out of some of these playlist. This could be the problem, but until Crytek installs populaton widget, so we can see how many players are online at any given time, we will never know.

Simple case of too many playlists, strict rank requirements and not enough players at a given time. They can fix many things with this game but I'm afraid population/community isn't one of them.
