Issues logging in? : Crysis

Been trying to log to both the demo and the forums for almost 50 minutes. This is ridiculous. I finally managed to log in here, but the demo is just hopeless. So sad. I avoided the Xbox360 demo to see the real deal on PC, but this is too much BS for me. The reason I avoid PC gaming = pain in the ass to make things work.

I wonder if I should maintain my game preorder, I wouldn't want to buy a game that I won't be able to play day one.

And there we where, happy because Crysis 2 wouldn't be using the EA account... sigh.

EDIT: Hell, took me 5 mins to post this =/ what a joke.

still no success with the demo yet though.

Yes, it would be great if a develober can create a public demo without any form of this catastrophic errors.
But in my opinion this will be a unrealistic dream for ever.

finally create an account 2 DAYS after trying!!

I've obviously got a gamesas account but when i try to use it in game all i ever get is nickname invalid bs.
Nearly 2 days now and still haven't been able to even try the demo, starting to think its a waste of my time tbh.

I have many friends also having the same issue but some have logged in without any issues at all. They really need to find the problem now and fix it, its starting to make them look really bad now.

I'm stuck at the login screen. username and password are correct (same as I use here) but it just kicked me back to the login screen without an error message. I've heard it can be caused by numbers in your nickname or email; however neither have numbers.....

Uhh.... Crytek, I still can't play this demo. I can't login. If this is just the demo imagine the chaos on release day. Your forums don't even work for christ sake.

I'm not buying this game until it's in the bargain bin.

Thankfully this issue doesn't affect me, the site doesn't stay up long enough to make a post usually and navigating through it just randomly goes down all the time.

Honestly you guys could've done a better job with server resources, rent out a $10k worth of servers in a cluster, get a load balancer and hire somebody with the brains to use it. This is a company that earns millions of dollars from people like us yet they can't even get their site load every now and then.

Found a fix for the wonky login: Just make a new account, make it a lowercase name and five-six letters long to be safe, and just use an invalid email address. that worked for me. Got me into the game.

As you might notice this is for the game not the forums, but as many are having issues getting into the game, and this post might be the first they check i posted it here as well as in the other threads on the issue.

i cant login with mcmarius11 but with mcmarius@gmx.net on the website...
ingame i cant login with my acc name or my email
PLS fix this

I try to log in the demo using my gamesas.com account name and password but it doesn't go through. Can someone give me any advice on how to fix this?

i made a new account.. it tells me user name is invalid.. i change the user name then it says the email is already in use... awesome job guys.... just wasted 4 email accounts a sign up for a demo.

got the same hilarious phenomenon ...
it seems like the account database has problems with longer usernames or digits
i've installed the demo minutes after release and i'm still unable to play !
never experienced anything like this but there's a first time for everything ^^
ridiculous

I have Chrome and it doesnt do anything wrong logging onto the forums. Yet i cant even log into the game. So worry about fixing that then bother with the site.

He has a point. Four email addresses and four short, simple nicknames with short, simple passwords later, and I still can't log in, and there's absolutely no answer on the forums to resolve the 'invalid nickname' issue. I'm not shelling out for a game if its online is broken and its support is garbage.

Same problem. Fairly short username, fairly short password, fairly short email addy... Still.. can't login on the game. But works fine here.
