Issues logging in?

Post » Fri Dec 25, 2009 2:40 am

Small-update:
Just a quick work around that i've found works best...

If you're browsing the forums and all of a sudden you're logged out, head to the Home Page and if you're still logged in there, logout. Then go back to the forums and login again (make sure that you let the browser complete the page loading, etc).

I haven't needed to clear cache or anything and that seems to be the easiest way to get around it. If you keep trying to login without logging out from the Home Page first it will give you errors.

Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon though!

Hey guys,

We're still ironing out some bugs with the login system but just thought i'd mention this:

If you're getting this error when trying to login, just click on the "Forums" button and you'll probably find that you're logged in anyway. If you find yourself dancing around being logged in and out randomly then clear your browser cache completely and try again. For Firefox users it looks like this:

You can access it quickly by hitting CTRL+SHIFT+DEL.

Let us know here if you still find you're having random login issues, but be sure to include as much information as possible to help us narrow down the source of the issue.

It's broken here. All pages except Forums detect the cookie and show me as logged in. Forums show logged out; when I click on Sign In, the login box appears with some unreadable white text overlapping with the login button (can't see what it says), and whatever user/pass I enter, it tells me they're incorrect.

Logging out from a working page and logging in via the forums works until I start a new session: then it breaks again.

Using Chrome 11.

I'm also randomly being logged in and out. Oddly i hadn't had the issue until this first time, now it's happening frequently. We'll hopefully get it sorted ASAP. Thanks for the feedback.

I experience the issue the opposite of DarkLite, the main forum keeps me logged out but the forum is the only thing which detects the cookie. Using IE9 RC

I got a message in google chrome saying I was banned for promoting piracy or posting a link to an illegal download. Then I couldn't log into the forums. I was like wtf? Since I haven't even really commented on it.

Appears to be working now (or at least not immediately broken), hopefully that means it's fixed.

Something that might possibly be related to the broken logins: Home page insists I have 1 PM at all times, when I don't. It still says that when I'm signed out of the forums by the login bug.

For me it is completely opposite. I am logged in the forums but cannot login into the homepage. Unfortunately I cannot login in the demo either. :(

Tried making a new id in game, but that did not work either. It first said username is in use. I changed the username and it then said email id is in use.

I had three email ids and now cannot even make a new profile with any of them now.

It is like a vicious circle.

Well if Crytek is having this much trouble with just a demo, than I really don't have faith in the actual game. I'll just stick to my other FPS.
