Hi guys i'm Torekkuccio, that's my first post here, hope to get help so i will give it back in future


I just bought Fallout 3 - Game of the year edition with all the 5 DLCs included.
The first CD is the game the second one the DLCs.
I installed the game and played if for 4-5 hours, everything went smooth.
Then i decided to install the second CD with DLCs.
The installation was ok but when i start the game it crashed immediatly.
When i run falloutupdater.exe appear a pop up and then i click on "data files" then i choose all the dlc and press ok --> start the game --> crash
i read around that i need the version 1.7 so i downloaded it, installed it and after the installation the game runs automatically but nothing has changed, always the same crash.

i have some question, where can i check the game version? have i to run the game with the CD2 or CD1? I didn't log in with windows live, is it a problem? where are my saves?? i didn't find them but i want save them to avoid to restart game after the disinstallation.
please help me, i'm rly disappointed, i spend 40€ for a game who doesn't install automatically......

Well after you install the second disc, you automatically have the latest version of the game. (1.7) Your saves are located in My Documents>My Games>Fallout 3>Saves,

Did you make sure to delete the Fallout.ini located in My Documents>My Games>Fallout3?

no i didn't delete it, thnx for info, when i'll be back at home i will inform u if it worked.
i'll do this.

1) unistall fallout 3 keeping my saves
2) delete fallout.ini in that folder
3) install dc1 (game) and cd2 (dlc)

You shouldnt even need to uninstall. Try deleting the Fallout.ini first, see if the game launches.

sry dude but nothing changed.
btw everytime i try to run the game that file is created in that folder.
any other hint?? pliz help
and dunno why it took me 1.5 hour to install DLCs O_o
