I'm having a few issues trying to import my tileset meshes into the CK. I wasn't getting any problems initially but as soon as I started to get textures involved everything started to melt down.
I was doing fine at first. Model, UV/Texture in Maya 2015 > Import as .fbx into 3ds Max 2014 > import as .nif through Max Plugins > run it through Nif Convert (is this really necessary?) and change attributes in Nifskope (vertex colors, assigning texture paths to the data folder > Chunk Merge > placing them in CK.
This process was fine for blocking in everything. Just a simple grey texture with a 50% grey for normals. But after the final detailing and I had given up texturing with in game textures I decided to get a look at the meshes in the CK with the same setup as before with the grey textures. But in the end they come out completely black and most of the meshes are out of scale. I thought it may have been from messing around with the UV sets in Maya so I cleaned up the scene and even reverted to an earlier save but nothing has changed. I'm assuming the problems are something further down the line that's common in this case but I can't put my finger on it. Can anyone shed some light?
