My brother's using the 360 controller to play the game, and he wants to access the console. But his keyboard doesn't use the right key that the game is looking for (he had the same problem in Oblivion and Fallout 3). It's not because his controller, as the keyboard doesn't activate the console regardless.

What we need is an item that will open the console, like the modded ones in Oblivion and Fallout 3. It shouldn't be too much effort. Anyone know of one already made, or willing to craft one up and upload it real fast?

Doesn't it require the Script Extender? If so, then you will have to wait for that first.

What about changing which key New Vegas wants? The hotkey for the console, can that be changed? His tilde key comes up as the @ sign in some things for some reason... which is what's keeping him from opening the console I'm guessing.

You could remap the tilde key in windows.
