I found the explorer limit to be mildly annoying, but no big deal. Now, I've come to find that some of my explorers are returning entirely on their own, stimpaks still left in their inventories.


Yep, explorers can only hold a limited number of items now, apparently. I get that this is probably to prevent people from having explorers out for infinite amounts of time, but it's stupid that I can't even get them to drop the junk I don't want while they're out there. Ugh...

The item cap (100) was always there, however, now the dwellers at least return when they're full. They used to "find" stuff and it just didn't get added to the inventory and they only collected caps from then on.

I like this new feature, because now I don't have to revive and recall every dweller.

What would be even better would be to have them stop exploring and let us tell them to drop all the rusty BB guns and other crap items they've picked up, and then let us choose to have them continue exploring if they still have stimpaks left.

I would love to see that also, maybe as simple settings like drop or ignore common items and explore if out of stimpacks. Have the default settings as off for both, that way new vaults can still get the items they need and people who want to keep their dwellers from dieing in the wasteland can still have their dwellers auto return.

In the end game, it doesn't matter rare or normal item. I just sell them.

What we need is the legendary, but it can no longer be found in the wasteland.

There is some bug in this limit. Some of the dwellers return with 100, some with less. Had got one return with 12 stimpak and 81 items. Cannot switch back to explore. The explore button is green.

I have been recalling when they can return before I stop playing and go to bed.

Now, I keep my vaults dormant and let them die to retrieve or return automatically.
