[Help] Items such as weapons cost 0 gold.

Well I've only just reinstalled Oblivion and it seems that quite frequently NPCs drop items such as an Iron Longsword with standard stats but a value of 0 gold. I haven't been able to track down what is causing the problem. I believe something is affecting the generation of the items as I have tried disabling ALL of my mods but the cost of the items still remain the same. Any suggestions on how to fix this guys?

Also everything is completely up to date and in TES4Edit it seems that all the items have the correct values.

Check the INI for ? 25 Enhanced Economy.esp [Version 4.1.1] and make sure there's nothing set horribly wrong.

? 34 ExnemRuneskulls.esp Isn't needed anymore.

? 37 FCOM_Cobl.esp [Version 0.9.9] Temporarily drop this as it is buggy in current version. Fixed for next release.

Does Frostcrag Reborn replace the original DLCFrostcrag.esp?

Exnem Runeskulls are included in the MMM.esm file now and implemented as creatures you can fight that drop the old style Runeskulls. The OOO version of Diverse Runeskulls Loot should be included with MMM 3.7pr3 and is intended to add the Runeskulls that are now in the MMM.esm into loot containers and NPCs.

So nobody knows the solution to my problem yet? Some kind of rouge script has to be causing the problems. Also my EE ini file is pretty much default with house tax disabled so that shouldn't be the problem.

Try disabling display stats and see if issue go away ..

Else You did not install Living Economy by chance when you installed Frans did you ?

Out in the wild when I fight Bandits, Outlaws etc.

Also I think LE did install when I installed Fran's because EE automatically detected LE and disabled it on first launch. It doesn't seem that LE is an .esp so I can't physically deactivate it but EE seems to be working the way it should.

Disable EE and test without to see if problem persis..

What is your Merchantile Skill and Did you play around with Progress Levels for that..

If EE detected LE then it got installed during Frans Install and is intergrated into Frans itself.

Removing Living Economy would require reinstalling Frans and not selecting Living Economy during Install. You would just need to make sure you reinstalled frans the same way has your current install is.

I've uninstalled LE fully. Updated EE to 4.2 and tried it with and without EE, the problem still persists.

My merchantile skill is around 10-11 (new game) and I have not played with the Progress levels much.

I think that maybe you saved your game with LE Items running, and inside a shop whose owner would pay zero gold for those items. In that case, the zero gold prices got stored within your savegame (any price changes do that), and stick with your game. Enhanced Economy reads the current prices and always adjust from that, so if an item's price is zero in the savegame, it will not be changed by EE.

But EE has a way to fix this, if you have Pluggy installed. In that case, you can choose to read price files from within EE's ingame menu ('R' in the inventory menu). It contains a number of price files, where one is vanilla prices, and another is the default LE prices. Read one of them into your game and save it, and your new savegame will now have those prices stored instead - even if you disable EE afterwards.

Making EE read the prices corrected the problem. I made it read the prices from Vanilla, Fran, MMM, OOO, FCOM and it seems to work great.
