I just looted a chest, and found an amulet of Talos. I took it. Wonderful!

I just looted another chest, and found an amulet of mara. IT WAS RED IN THE CHEST.

AND NO, IT IS NOT MARKED STOLEN.

I have been finding chests, wardrobes, end tables, cupboards all of them when I open them will have, for example 5 items in them as one example.


A horker tusk, boots, garnet, charcoal, and wooden plate.

The wooden plate will be red, horker tusk will be red, but the other 3 items will be normal.

THIS IS HAPPENING ALL OF THE TIME!


But this is not the most annoying part. The most annoying part, is that these items FOREVER remain RED anytime they are stored in my inventory, or any chest I own, any container I own.

THESE ARE NOT STOLEN, and the containers I keep finding these mixed red items with normal white color, are all common containers.


Somebody please tell me why.


I have been trying to avoid taking anything showing red, because of not wanting red crap in my inventory and storage.

But when I found this amulet of mara, I wanted it for my collection. And it is RED!

I am ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN. I was absolutely certain before creating this topic.

The items do NOT say "stolen" in the upper right hand corner of the opaque window. When viewing them. They are not stolen.

AND WHEN I LOOTED THESE ITEMS SHOWING UP RED IN MY STORAGE, it never said "steal item", either.


This is some kind of horrible bug.


Even items that I loot from dead soldiers, or dead bandits I have killed will show up RED when I store them in a container. Any container. My own owned containers at home, random barrells, set.


None of this has anything to do with them being stolen.


I can pick up a raw rabbit leg from a rabbit I have killed, store it in my chest at home, and it shows RED.


I can store a wolf pelt from a wolf I killed in the same container and it shows up normal (white).


I just said above, I can kill a rabbit, loot his raw rabbit haunch, and then store it in my chest at home, and it will show up red.


I can then kill a wolf, loot his wolf pelt, store it in that same chest, and it shows up "normal."


This will happen rgardless of ANY CONTAINER. They will be this color permanently, forever.



This is the most ridiculous, horrible thing. Somebody please tell me how to fix it. Is there a fix a??
