You see the above, this is a typical event playing online at the moment on Crysis 2 over Xbox LIVE....look at the massive host advantage connection wise compared to everyone else...all I did was start the game and give it a full two minutes to let the readings settle

This is why so many people are fustrated with Crytek on this site for a total lack of response with any real content, generic..."we are taking feedback etc etc blah blah" is just not good enough, all we want to know, is whether or not real problems such as connections and a region filter is being looked at.

I have a full 20mb fibre optic broadband connection running at 19-21mb, I shouldnt be having this kind of problem online......I am not alone in this issue....so please, confirm for the first time that a connection issue fix is a priority for this game on this platform

Silence is not helpful Crytek

if there was such a huge advantage being host would the host be winning......... but i know what your saying about poor connecting as im on a 50 meg line with 9 ms ping and i get a crappy connection most of the time the game improves alot for most people when i host but for some reason after one game they change the host to a poorer connection and everybody suffers

This happens with every P2P matchmaking system.

All we can hope for is that next time, Crytek gives us, the console gamers, dedicated servers as well.

It really is becoming a standard and games like Battlefield, Gears of War 3, and several others are benefiting from it immensely.

Dedicated servers can have problems of its own, just look at Homefront

But a simple connection region filter on a P2P system can make a huge difference, Crytek really need to rethink their console online infrastructure, but an acknowledgment of the issue would be a great start

I heard that Homefront only utilized dedicated servers for the bigger games where it holds up to 32 players.

For any gametypes that support anything below that, it uses P2P.

At least, that is what I've heard as I don't (and don't wish to) have any experience with the game.

Quite honestly I don't think anyone gives a damn about what you have to say about the game. Please sell it, and stop posting on the forums. Go back to Black Ops.

Got it?

Guessing that was some kind of internal mental realisation of your own presence on these forums.....hope it sinks in soon before you have to go back under your bridge...enjoy your day

Yeah, every P2P system, oh except for Reach, CoD, BC2, and the majority of multiplayer games on the 360.

Enjoy your day

Yeah, Crysis 2 in its current has some of the worst P2P Match Making I have ever seen. Seriously, it seems to pick somebody across the world from you at random.

Host Migration? Yeah, might as well leave the game because that's gonna fail.

I actually prefer P2P over company owned Dedicated Servers when that P2P system has Bungie backing it. =P

PC individually rented and moderated DS > Bungie`s P2P MM > Company ran (i.e. EA) DS > Whatever Crytek tried to achieve

The only gamemode that uses P2P on Homefront is Skirmish, and thats there incase the Dedicated servers go down on GC and TDM.

Keep the online alive so people can still play without servers

Oh, COD has it's fair share of P2P troubles & whiners.

BC2 on the other hand, utilizes dedicated servers so everyone can have an equal connection. It doesn't have any of the P2P issues. No host migration, no host advantage, no lag switching, no host side cheating methods, no BS, etc.

I don't know much about Halo since I really only played Halo 3 on consoles and even that game was nowhere close to the original Halo: CE.

The problem is, we dont know what issues are even being looked at, if any...for every person that isnt having problems there are at least 5 or more who are having issues....especially with so many international connections all conflicting with eachother when it comes to either hosting or just so bad that it effects simple things like hit detection etc...and for an FPS to have that issue just makes it redundant

It would be nice to have more information from the Crytek team...even just responses to what people are posting...but nothing, so those with issues get more fustrated, and the ones without issues but annoyed with threads about problems end up becoming trolls just attacking others for asking when the game they bought will be working fully for them.

There is no reason why Crytek is being so selectively quiet about the 360 platform issues, if their method is to say nothing until after a patch is released then it will put many people off the game
