Rule of thumb for load order seems to be that Requiem goes to the bottom of the list because it touches just about everything. Some things ive encountered though is features not quite working the way they were supposed to in other mods. An example is populated roads ect. I had that mod active in other situations and found that the ability to hire mercs you find on the road was very helpful. Now that I have been working with Requiem again that function seems to have disappeared, even though I go in to the mod data and keep dropping the Yes, hire mercs file set into the data file. Its things that cant be reconciled like that which really cause me grief.
But above all the worst would be if I moved this or that mod after Requiem what kind of consequences will that cause that I might not even be able to detect directly. Its having so much unknown in that respect that keeps me from moving forward most of the time.
I dont know, does Wrye Bash have a function that allows you to see what conflicts are happening and why they are?
As for my OS im going to have a friend install a gaming dedicated OS on this used performance rig I got, so hopefully I will be able to eek out enough power to make things work the way they should.
What I would really like to do is have like a flow chart of all the mods I have working for me and just have people look it over and see if they have experienced any conflicts between any of the ones I want to use. If I can get into a situation where people would help me like that then I could just add a new mod to the chart and see if it has conflicts with anything else and slowly work my way up. Then I need to keep one eye on the resource gobblers that are really causing me grief.
This might be a question for the technical board, but what I have been doing is dropping my graphics to absolute minimums then turning the view distance up to max so I can see things before they see me. What impact is that having? Yeah, im going to make a thread over there and see if someone knows something in that respect.
