None of my fellow overseers was able to connect to the ingame lunchbox store. I attribute it to the fact that there's a bug that can potentially delete all of your in game purchases if a save file gets corrupted. Since this means potential lawsuits, reimbursemets and all sort of PR heat, its no surprise gamesas decided to stop people from buying more products that will potentially have to be returned.


It is actually all good news. The fact this is happening on a weekend means that we can expect the bug to be fixed even earlier then anticipated (I expect 1.2 to be rolled out on Monday with a press release and everything). All of this means that the good folks in gamesas are working their asses right now to make things right again.


As for the game - since theres no ingame purchases you will not lose any more money, but the bug is still there and it means you can still lose all you progress. So back up those saves! And use this opportunity to play the game in this 'non-paid' mode. It can be dirricult at times but who doesn't enjoy a good challenge once in a while?

Non paid mode works fine for me I will probably end up buying a Mr. Handy at some point but the only thing to buy other then that are lunch boxes. Considering the contents of most that I've earned and opened, I'm not likely to ever pay real money for those.

But, hopefully when they roll out the update to the app, they will fix that too. I wonder if they saw sales plummet after the first update starting giving people the 500-cap booby prizes 95% of the time. "Guaranteed rare or better".

Are you quite sure this is official and not just yet another instance of the bug preventing people from accessing the store?

Yeah, 500 caps is NOT "rare". Can't believe they did that...

Yeah, once you reach a certain point the only thing that helps you are legenardy weapons, gear, and dwellers.

I haven't seen any announcements form Bethesda's official sources, this sounds like speculation to me.

Especially with a vastly spread bug doing exactly this. Official doesn't seem very official. :/

This bug hit me 3 days ago so it's not been fixed..

Totally speculation has to be otherwise they would've let us know information a long time ago

Recently i got one from free lunchbox too.

Saturday I've bought in-game.... Payment ok but when I returned in-game I've received an error about the connection and the object payd seems to be lost.

I hope this is a bug and they'll fix it soon!

Someone else has this problem?
