Actually you shouldn't feel "sad" you should feel happy because you are about to embark on an epic journey and experience all that the wasteland has to offer for the first time. Many of us have gone throught that game so many times its lost its pazazz. And yes, your not the only one. My friend has just picked up his copy of fallout 3 about 2wks ago because I always talked it up so much.

Don't be sad. Be happy. You've got a really great game with a ton of content that you get to experience for the first time. I'm jealous.

Exactly, and dont worry about playing New Vegas just now. Play Fallout 3 and experience all it has to offer and then by this time next year you can go get New Vegas (and then play it for a week and then go back and forth between the two like I do now)

Im rather jealous too though, I wish I could wipe my mind and play Fallout 3 for the first time again.....

Where are our manners? Welcome to the forums, zero101! Have a http://www.uesp.net/w/images/images.new/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg. It's a weird tradition but it's ours.

Now, like the others said, don't be sad. Be happy! You have a whole new world in your hands, one I hope will bring you half the enjoyment it has me. I've played Fallout 3 for over 2,000 hours and still have not done everything there is to do in the game. Go play your new game and have a great time. If you need any help or just want to chat about the game, come back here :)

Ghouls you forgot to give the fishy stick, I thought you knew better than that.

I should be jealous at you for having your first go at Fallout 3, it's a great game with lots of replayability. I wish I could get back that first time feeling of FO3.

Your fishy stick didn't work. Here's one: http://www.uesp.net/w/images/images.new/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg

(space after before the http, EDIT: oh I see someone provided an appropriate Fishy Stick while I was typing)

And yes, not be sad be happy. You get to play a great game while Fallout New Vegas is being patched :)

In fact I'm envious. I wish I could start Fallout 3 all over and explore the unknown Capital Wasteland again for the first time!

If you're playing it on a PC you have even more to be happy about. There's quite a few well established mods that you can add to your game, whereas the community for New Vegas is just getting started.

Don't worry, FO:NV isn't going anywhere. You can always get it later. But for now, Fallout 3 is an awsome game that will easily keep you enthralled for a very long time. An hour or two in and you wont even remember what a New Vegas is.

*thinks back to when he first stepped out of the vault* good times, good times

*thinks back to when he charged up the steps of the capital dressed in an enclave officer uniform and supported by clover and jericho in enclave power armor blasting at super mutants left and right with a plasma pistol and fighting tooth and nail to breech the inside of the building and get to the conference room for absolutely no reason other than to say that he did*

*thinks back again to the first time he discovered paradise falls and his true calling in life.....*

yeaaah good times, real good times :foodndrink:

I only got fallout 3 in September. Also New Vegas still has a ton of bugs that need to be fixed yet, and if you buy it later you can get the game of the year edition and save money versus buying all the DLC for it separately as well as have the final patched version of the game. That is why I am holding out on moving over. That and the fact that steam doesn't like dial-up internet and steam is REQUIRED to play New Vegas on PC.

Picking up a game later is probably better than sooner.
You get to enjoy it after all the major bugs have been squared away.

Same deal for New Vegas. If you wait to pick it up until after you're done svcking the marrow out of Fallout 3, the new patch should be out and it won't be such a big disappointment for you, like it seemed to be for many players right now. :P

yup....personally I always wait at least until 6 months after a game is released before I buy it. I will get Vegas, but not for a while...I don't like being a theta-tester for games, and apparently this one is still pretty buggy. Plus the price will come down....I don't think any game is really worth $60. Not to mention the game will probably include expansions later.

Just enjoy the FO3 and log a couple hundred hours of gametime and buy NV later.

I'll be waiting until the GOTY edition comes out. All the expansions will be download only until then, and I just don't buy anything online. If I wait until the GOTY edition I'll have all the DLCs at once and a fully patched game. Plus by then there'll be tons of mods that have had all their bugs worked out I can use.

Hey don't be sad at all . Feel lucky because by the time you get FNV it should almost be finished and fixed and all that . Because it was released in terrible shape IMHO. But the reason i think is because obsidian only lists two people in the credits as testers. That is totally unacceptable and just goes to show you about the industries new adopted business model of . Just get the game out the door ! We will just patch and fix it once we get feedback from all our Non Paid Beta Testers (namely us the paying customers) You have to hand it to them thought managing to get testers that pay Them to test their games for them. And to think i used to think that gamers were one of the smartest if not the smartest consumer groups there is.

And have fun and I'm also jealous
