Quest: The Straw That Broke (I think is the name of it)

I actually found Reyda's Necklace before the quest was initiated by Narfi in Ivarstead. At one point the Inn Keeper had a conversation option that was something like "Is this her necklace?" but I did not choose that option because I was discussing the barrow with him (this was again before the quest had even started). Now the quest will not complete. I have Reyda's Necklace in my inventory and I can't get rid of it. Neither the Inn Keeper or Narfi will progress any further in conversation to complete the quest. The Inn Keeper no longer has the previous conversation option.
